I think Ed Reed might have something to say about that

They both have a pretty good arguement as to who was better, but the best to have played? I wouldn't christen either as such.

Agreed.. Reed had a way of baiting QBs into errant throws where Troy played with reckless abandon. Love that about him

Aye! Would take either or and both If I could on my dream D...

Ed was better in some facets... Troy affected all 3 levels of the D making him more of a nightmare for coordinators. If he'd played a little more tech savvy like wrapping up and running through folks instead of like a damn missile, I think he would've lasted longer and been even more impactful than he was if that's even possible?!?!?! He was a stud bar none and Ed was pretty damn game without a doubt. Best 2 in their era.

I do not think a first ballot Hall of Famer is considered overrated.

In 2016, he became the fastest player in NFL history to reach both 200 career receptions and 4,000 career receiving yards. In 2016, he recorded his first 100-reception season and reached the NFL playoffs for the first time in his career, after helping the Giants to an 11-5 season record.

This OP has 8 “disagree”. If this was the regular season with better poster attendance, it would have cruised way past Real Steel’s best day.

Once they started using him correctly, his stats and catches went up.

He's a taller WR with long legs and strides. That's what he is. Those types of guys can't usually do the quick stuff that JuJu, AB, Welker, etc. do.

That's why Moss was a freak. He could do it all and was bigger and stronger than everyone in your secondary.

Having MB on the field with AB and JuJu makes this offense a powerhouse. (as long as you have a RB that can pick up the rusher or split out into the flat.)

His days are likley numbered. He could be a relative of Real Steel.. Certainly has a way about how he approaches posters. Love these arrogant dudes. Bring it

He's a more talented player than brown but brown has been the most consistent wr the last few years. But I'll also factor in that big Ben is a much better qb than eli..

Ronnie lott is the greatest safety ever but troy is easily a top 5 SS of all time.

MB is a very good talent. People knock him because they dont like him.

His play dropped off last year because he missed an entire season but he started to get back in form by the end of the year.

After his benching, he buckled down and just worked hard.

AB, JuJu and Bryant should be fun to watch this season.

Different rules make that comparison hard. Troy wasnt as feared as lott but around the line of scrimmage , troy done things lott didint. Its splitting hairs with those 2
