Did anybody else hear the Ed Reed interview yesterday where he said that he really didn't know if he had the same kind of desire to play football that he's had in the past? Hey Ed, take it from us Steeler fans. You've had a nice career. Time to step down and give somebody else a shot. :-/

Seriously, a Terrell Suggs-less and Ed Reed-less Ravens team next year sounds pretty good to me. Oh, and if you don't mind, Ed, take the old and decrepit Ray-Ray with you. :)

I don't think Reed is going anywhere. Probably just a post-season slump after losing a playoff game they were a chip shot away from tieing.

Yea i heard this, but i heard ed reed also retracted his statement a few days later. He's kinda like the brett favre at the safety position. The last few years he has mentioned retirement, but then has also said he see's himself having atleast 4-5 more years left in him. I dont think he's retiring this year any way

He's going to play... He's trying to get the Ravens to throw some more cash at him. I've always respected Reed as a player, but it just shows how lucky we are to have had guys like Hines...

Yes, Ed probably has more in the tank than Hines does at this point, but Hines was willing to practically play for free, and Ed wants more than his 7 mil he's due this season... Despite the fact the Ravens are working on contracts with Ray Rice and Joe Flacco currently. You would think he'd want to play for a ring and help the team be in a good place financially this season and beyond.
