After the Chiefs-Rams trade that sent Marcus Peters to LA, it' possible that could kick down the #2 CB to us at #28.

It's still a long shot as the CB talk usually only heats up after the combine.

If Evans is gone there is potential of going CB. I just don't see S in round 1. The way the board is stacking up it seems round 2 would the best option. Although if last year is an indicator we might think about trading up to get our guy before they come flying off the board.

I think Denzel Ward is CB #1 with Josh Jackson right behind him at #2.

McFadden #3 with Mike Hughes #4.

Combine is important for CB position but I think the chance to get any of these guys would be better than settling on a safety at #28.

I'm attacking this angle from more of a BPA fit rather than need.

Depends on what we do with haden and Allen. Hughes brings kick and punt return ability as well as corner and FS ability. That's a 4fer.

Hughes looks really good. Very interested to see his 40 and agility drills.

I think Haden will start. Sutton will be #4/5. Allen is still what he was when drafted, a project.

McFadden had a bad year, Hughes has off field issues no thanks.

If Haden stays where is a first round CB going to play? With Tom Bradley as DB coach he might be able to get more out of Burns, they also have to play Sutton and Hilton. They would be better off double dipping at safety, they need two to replace Mitchell and Golden.

I don't disagree with your logic, but it may come down to a BPA, who may be a CB, over a need at S.

I really want a S too. Maybe trade down? I' not really feeling Harrison, Elliott or Reid at #28.

    If they keep haden.
Hughes got into a fight at a frat party and knocked a guy out. Not a big deal, it happens. Not a habitual trouble maker by any means. He was recruited by some major programs. He's a good corner. I've seen him play several times.

I am not big on a CB in the first, I haven't looked much into them but the little I have read on Davis I am impressed I have to see his film, I also read some very good things on Hughes.

I don't see the Steelers going CB in the first. If the #2 CB is there at our pick, I think it is more likely we trade out of that location and pick up additional picks in 2 and 3 to help us going forward, but not pick a CB.

I actually cant believe i am finally able to say this but i dont think corner is a need. Haden, burns, suttton and hilton are a pretty good core. Its gotta be safety or ilb

depends on allen if he plays corner or safety but if we lose gay and sensabaugh we will need one most likely unless they go with crawford, ducre and phillips and that could easily happen.

If Hubbard was there in the third round he could be a option.

I don't know much about Hubbard but I like us being connected to Bradham. Also why move Bud and not TJ, I remember when last year there was a lot of talk of TJ being an inside guy? If the Steelers are thinking about moving a guy inside would TJ be a better option?

I was definitely conducting the TJ is an Inside guy Train.

    I was wrong.

Let him grow as an OLB. Might be special.

I am fine with either I just remember a lot of talk about TJ being an inside guy and was wondering what others thought. I love this class of ILB's I really feel like a starter could be had all the way down to the 4th round, jmo

With Josh Jackson and Mike Hughes not running fast 40s, I think it's likely 1 of them will be available at #28.

I think it's a long shot due to need, but when it comes to BPA, it will be food for thought for Colbert.

Jackson first run was good under 4.5, his second not so much.
