I know I will be in the minority here but I actually like Brown better than Wallace. Don't get me wrong, love having them both but.......Wallace is a go deep or quick slant guy. If he doesn't run by u not much there. I believe Brown does more with less, fights through tackles, and seems to get better with the game on the line.

One of the players we played against recently said he this Brown is better than Wallace. I can't remember who it was or even what team but I remember reading it within the past few weeks.

Brown is definitely a better complete receiver. Wallace relies purely on speed, whereas Brown is running great routes, getting open, and getting yards after the catch. Plus he's very elusive.

They kind of remind me of Desean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin. Wallace is a lot like Desean Jackon, very fast and flashy, but Brown is more like Maclin, the better all around receiver who doesn't get the same recognition due to not being as flashy. Things always even out in the end though, Antonio Brown and Maclin will both be known as the #1 receiver on their respective teams. Wallace is fun to watch and helps us win, but I'd take Brown every day of the week.

Brown is like Steve Smith, Wallace is more like Randy Moss.

Wallace on the field probably also makes all the other receivers look better, considering opposing Ds tend to be (rightfully) scared of him burning them which leads to them paying more attention to him

Wallace has connected on the go, post, quick slant, out, hitch, drag, and corner. What else do you want him to run. His most dangerous routes are the go, post, and quick slant which set up the out and hitch. He also has great hands, breaks tackles, and makes guys miss. I cannot stand guys saying he is not complete. He is complete and dangerous and needs to retire a Steeler.(NOT saying original poster is saying)

Antonio Brown is almost as good, next year probably will be as good. Slightly less speed, slightly better routes. About the same everywhere else. Brown has the heart and fight of a lion on steroids. He is a gamer that brings it with a chip on his shoulder.

If Sanders was healthy in the preseason he would be right there as well. Nearly as good as MW and AB. Better route runner than both. Speed in between. Other two are slightly more physical.

At the end of the season all three will be about equal, each having their own best attributes. Hopefully peaking in the playoffs along with the best tight end in football, Hines is Hines, and a great backup in Cotchery.

Let's just be grateful that we have them both - undoubtedly two of the best young receivers in the NFL

It's like debating whether I like red or white wine better... they are both good, and have their place on the table.

I would tend to say that Brown does benefit from opponents trying to double cover Wallace. This gives the illusion that he is playing better since it is easy to beat one defender than it is to beat over/ and under coverage. The problem with this is that brown and Sanders are often the third or fourth read and we all know the length of time Ben holds the ball and goes through progressions. When he is decisive and makes a pre-snap read he will hit a lesser covered Brown over dbl covered Wallace.

Wallace has become more than just a deep threat. he has become a very dependable guy when Ben needs a quick hitter.

Brown has shown that he is a great route runner and also looks to Bens favorite target when they need a 1st down.

Sanders is also right there. maybe the best route runner of the 3.

this is a tough question. i would still put Wallace #1 followed very closely by Brown and Sanders.

its a good problem to have especially when you consider that Ward is probably the 4th best wr on the team now. not a bad problem to have.

:this!: I agree! And never understood why people feel they have to choose one win over another? I have an idea and I think it come from intimidation.

I am on the same boat as people who think Wallace has evolved into a complete receiver and deserving of the #1 moniker. He has also carried the weight of that stressful roll behind some recent amazing players (Hines, Plax and Holmes) wide outs with great ease or missing a beat. he's still slightly ahead of the other two.

If I had to choose between the two it would be Brown over Sanders. I think they are at the same level of talent with slightly different skill sets, but Brown is a great return guy for us. I think the team considers Brown to be the #3 guy and that's why they have him returning AND I also think he might have the upper hand there though. I obviously can't prove any of this, just gut feelings.

Who is supposed to be faster Brown or Sanders?

They both have different styles, roles and even positions. Both are players on the rise, and will be great too.

I see Brown being our FL on years to come, and hopefully Wallace our SE. Sanders #3 and Cotchery or future draft picks #4 and #5.
Battle will be out next year, and probably Ward will retire soon.

It would be nice to lock up Wallace, Brown, and Sanders long term, but I feel like the Steelers will be letting one of them walk. I can just see someone, like Cleveland, looking for talent at WR showing Brown or Sanders #2 WR money. The Steelers will definitely show one of them #2 money, but it would be surprising if they offered it to both.

Wallace's deep threat allows Brown and Sanders and Ward to have an easier time of it. It's similar to how Plaxico used to command a double-team every play, allowing Randle-El and Ward to get single-coverage. It's just a shame we never knew which Kordell Stewart we were going to get on a given Sunday...

No he has a point.Brown remind me of ward when he first got on the team.He was constantly trying to prove himself.I can remember him complaining about not getting any playing time when we had plax and edwards as starters.Brown is a pure receiver...he can catch short, mid passes, and then burn you with the speed ,deep, if need be.

I have to admit, Brown is turning out to be much better than I believed he would. It's not that I didn't think he would be good, I just wasn't giving him the benefit of the doubt to among the best receivers on the current team, but he sure has been changing my mind lately. I just wish he'd stop doing the Santinio "point the ball and drop it" after his catches. I may be in the minority, but it annoyed me when Santonio did that (still does in NY), and I still don't like it with Brown.
