Darryl Drake Is The New WR Coach

    Not sure if it holds true for football, but in hockey the best coaches who were former players are mostly the 3 rd liner kind of guys. Gerard Gallant or Joel Quenneville. The guys that had to work hard every night, not that Hines didn t. Just what I have seen, the grinders make better coaches. In football it seems offensive line guys make decent coaches.

    Drake taught Larry to be an inside receiver 4 years ago, fitz was a one trick pony until he learned to play inside, I hope drake can make AB a dual threat on the inside like he did fitz...

    Wanted Ward to be here the energy he brings is contagious. I am sick of hearing about explayers being crap, if anyone thinks Ward wouldn't make a good/great coach they are nuts. With that said welcome to the nation Drake......

    Going the veteran coach route ala Mann. Can't complain, welcome aboard! I like how John Brown played there so hope he continues the trend here.

    This hire may be the beginning of Tomlin changing the culture here a little bit. I also wanted Hines to get the gig. But maybe hiring an older, wiser, more experienced coach was the way to go here. Just by the looks of him he dosent strike me as a guy who will get in bar fights just before playoff games. So that's a plus right there.
