I agree. We can't tag a guy one year and expect him to be happy with a second tag. Stop the madness. If we can't agree on a contract let him go, he's a grown man.

Barkley isn't going at 1.1 and no, I wouldn't trade the 1.1 for any RB on earth

If the Browns are stupid and they have given plenty of indications that they are then they would pass on Barkley to draft yet another QB first overall and miss out on a back that could torture the division for they foreseeable future. I saw a mock that has the Giants taking him 2nd. So concievably if they were smart take Barkley 1st and then the Giants don't need a QB so the two of the three top QB canidates are sitting there at four when they pick again and they are set for years or until they scrap everything again.

It would be interesting to find out who told Bouchette this, I'm curious if it was a player or coach who talked.

No matter, it's still a distraction. Reminds me of the Wallace situation.

Possible. I think there's about a 0% chance the Browns draft a RB with the first overall.

I would trade to NFC team, like the Bucs. Even with Bell next year should be a top 15 pick next year, plus I think a 7 this year.

You can polish a turd but its still a turd. When it gets wet it will stink like a turd.

Bell is worth every bit of a top 5 pick this year plus a 3rd or 4th rounder next year. I would have a huge For Sale sign on him a week before the draft. He has proven himself to be a play maker. Let the bidding begin.

Bell needs to test the market to get a reality check and attitude adjustment. He thinks he will get $15 mil/year somewhere else.

Unless he said someone told him, I believe the local Pittsburgh media is allowed to sit in on practices and be at the facility.

If his dedication to rap practice mirrors his dedication to football practice, it's starting to make sense.

You aren't getting a top 5 pick for Bell, a good QB would but not a RB.

We still need to find out what his market value is and thats why we need to put the non exclusive tag on him to find out how valuable he really is...............

Based on talent alone we would get a top 5 pick but adding in the extracurricular nonsense he brings we will be lucky to trade up in the first round at all.

The thing is, RB's are relatively easy to find in the draft if you are willing to spend a decent pick on one. Terrible Podcast said it best recently: There are plenty of RB's in the league who can catch, and even a few of them who have the take it to the house speed, which Lev Bell doesn't even have.

Agree. And who would give us a top five pick and then pay him $10M+/year along with his attitude? Nobody.

But not many that can do it on his level. Kamara and Gurly come to mind. Not sure who else.

It wasn't the media because they wouldn't wait 5 days to inform us, I bet it was a teammate that's tired of Bell's act.

Bell's act is tired, he's been here 5 years and hasn't led the team to the Super Bowl. You can find a cheaper RB in the draft, also one who has more big play ability like Sony Michel, Ronald Jones.

Possibly, but if Steelers won he wasn't going to let it slip out... so he wasn't going to report it right away.

I'm sure Bouchette does sit in on a few practices a week.

I'm sure he is also very judicious about what he reports due to him have such a close relationship to the team. He doesn't want to ruin that relationship.

Planned 'leak' by the FO, to make Bell the villain. Soften the blow when they let him get signed elsewhere.
