Then everyone latches onto the "we weren't prepared" narrative, and the coaches find themselves right back under that bus.

I hear you. I'm speaking from the standpoint of owning it as a team rather than throwing others under the bus.

This isn't just about the QB sneak play in my opinion. If I remember correctly Ben wanted to spike the ball near the end of the Patriots game but had to go with a play as shouted by the coaches. So that's another example of his frustration as he apparently wasn't allowed to spike the ball though he wanted to. And then of course the interception.

That’s part of the reason it works. If no one is lined directly over the center, you tap and go before anyone knows it. I think Mark Malone took one of these for about 40 yards.

It was dumb wanting to spike the ball on that play. There was lots of time to run another play before kicking the FG. The coaches were right in that instance, but unfortunately most of the team were expecting the spike and were not prepared for a real play. It was a mess and shouldn't have happened that way. Our coaches and players just aren't on the same page at all

    Haley!

And because if the prior review, they had forever to get their act together.

It was that instant I switched to thinking Haley needed to go. The 4th and short plays against Jax just reinforced the idea.

How is that on Haley? Ben indicated a spike was coming so that's what most of the team believed was about to occur. Once he was told to run a play, it was too late to communicate that to everyone and get everyone on the same page. If Ben didn't indicate a spike, that play wouldn't have happened as it did. Ben should have realized there was lots of time left on the clock and he never should have indicated the spike. That was poor clock management by Ben, yet again

He audibles all the time but there is no audible for a sneak cause there is no play for a sneak. Haley was told when he was hired that they do not want ben getting touched. Now I could see not using the sneak all the time during reg season but when your season is on the line you have to use a play that is like 90 percent successful and I think they will be running it next year.....

I’m not going to argue for Ben’s clock management skills, but you helped make my point why that was on Haley. Because of the review, Haley had a ton of time to relay a play to Ben. Obviously, that didn’t happen so Ben at least did something. Then, mayhem was created by Haley not having a clue what to do.

We know Ben can call an audible, a prime example is the fake spike vs Dallas that only him and AB knew.

You're forgetting that a play occurred between the review and the play in question. There was the review on the TD, then there was the throw and catch to DHB, who was tackled in bounds (a play that should never have happened), then there was the fake spike play.

Haley had a play for Ben to run and he ran it, but Ben made a bad decision to throw it to a guy who wouldn't be able to get in the end zone or out of bounds, and DHB made a dumb decision by actually catching it. Once DHB was tackled in bounds, that's when Ben immediately indicated a spike was coming, at which time Haley sent in a play, but it was too late for Ben to get the rest of the team on the same page.

I forgot about the DHB catch. I stand corrected.

Who called the DHB play that never should have happened?

Actually, according to Ben, if the play goes well it was because he called it, and when the play goes poorly it was because Haley called it. Ben pulled that bs more times than I can count.

All I know is that I TRULY believe we'd be playing on Sunday had we converted at least one of the two fourth downs.

Offense was rolling, Ben was ON FIRE and Jags had no answers.

I'm still pissed about the pick. It was a great play to jump the route by Jack, but Ben absolutely has to know better than to throw that in the first place.

The play was fine. DHB was simply covered, so Ben shouldn't have thrown it to him and DHB shouldn't have caught it.

I find this hard to believe that Ben is not allowed to audible.
