Be more PHYSICAL on both sides of the ball:

I don't want to retread what everyone knows about our defense, but the entire history of the Steelers defense going back to the 1950s has always been about the physicality at the line of scrimmage.

We have become a passive team. We have a passing running game. We have a passive pass rush and run defense. When we need one yard we need to take that yard.

Steelers have lost their way, and need to get back to their identity.

I agree with what you said about the Defense. I would leave the Offense alone sans a few QB sneaks.

Goal for next year: win Super Bowl

Agree, get more physical if it contributes to the goal.

I would just like to able to win against teams we are supposed to beat. No more playing down to whatever level the competition is.

Took Tomlin a decade to convert the D from being physical to his soft, bend don't break cover 2. Things aren't changing over night, nor are there signs he'd be willing to.

Getting stops on 3rd downs would be a nice start.

You know which d coordinators have a bend, but don't break philosophy?

The ones whose defenses suck and give up a bunch of yards, and get lucky in the red zone.

Show me a defensive coach who's happy to give up tons of yards and first downs, and I'll show you a liar!
