Can't see us dropping cash on him, he has his upsides but obviously not what we want and definetly not what we want to pay

Did he officially get released? All I saw was an article speculating that he could be a June 1st cut.

lol wow, the Bungles brought it last season... and their CB's are Leon Hall, Dre Kirkpatrick, Pacman Jones, Terrence Newman, Brandon Ghee... So they have a logjam there.

Cowboy fans seem pretty excited to get rid of Newman.

I don't think Newman is very good but they just signed him so he's going to stay on the roster, that's my point. Newman's also not making 4 mil.

i liked when he played to the jets ,last year he did pretty well at the slot is a tough guy and experienced , clements was awfull last year and reading the bungles board they didn't have faith at all on him prior of eany games , if coleman can come cheap is a good option ,coleman last season signed for 2,5 ,milion a year so the value was there , now if can comes for the half could be a viable option

he wouldn't be a bad choice either. i thought clements may even be able to play some FS/nickle or dime package at this point in his career maybe a one year deal. another vet is needed i think.

I have been of the opinion that we can use an extra vet CB for 1 season, maybe 2. I'm not looking for a starter, but someone who can come in if needed and give a boost. I like our young guys, but I am not sure that we are ready to toss them into the fire with no vet support behind them. I think that Clements can fit our scheme. I think he's at his best with the play in front of him in a zone scheme, and can spot start effectively - certainly better than BMac. I would take him for a 1 year vet min contract, and that's all that he would be likely to get from anyone else. The expectations would be appropriate for a 1 year vet min type of guy, and we could be pleasantly surprised if he plays a bit above that level.
