set up a poll here.. maybe you can do one terrible towel?
i would like to see what steeler fans think....
which helps the chances for the steelers to win the division....
suggs our or having decastro/adams on our OL?
to me suggs is maybe worth a game or 2 in close games.. and depends on how much decastro/adams play they could be worth a game or two?
so to me its pretty much a toss up.. the ravens lose a game or two they would have won without sugggs and we win a game or two we would have lost with the 2 new OL guys? so i guess the poll would have to be suggs injury lps more... our new OL will help more.. neither will make a difference.... and both have the same ?

The Ravens are tough and will win with or without Suggs, but our offensive line NEEDED that upgrade, so that's my vote

Suggs being out will have some effect, but we don't want to count on other teams doing poorly for the Steelers to win the division. I really do look for the improvements to the offense to be a key factor.

I voted Oline. It wasn't much of a choice for me. :)

No doubt anything that hurts the ravens helps us, but our new look OL will have the bigger impact on us winning our division. But I think cinn will be a close 2nd.

If there any rats fans out there reading this board, they are laughing their butts off at Steelers fans. One LB makes the difference between them winning the division or not??? That is just asinine.

Maybe when Haley has actually done something here. So far, all we've had is a lot of expectation based pretty much only on the fact that he's not BA.

I didn't vote, but Suggs hurt might be negated by their new rookie 1st round DE stepping up and any other young pass rushers they have on the team. They drafted Sergio Kindle who has disappointed so far, but you never know if he can turn it around. Last year Suggs was the only guy who could blitz and if he got stuffed they had nothing in terms of pass rush.

I think Ravens will really miss Ben Grubbs next year and I think Birk might break down, he is too old to be truly effective. Flacco could be seeing a lot more pressure next year.

As much as I enjoy the rivalry, I honestly believe that after last year, this year's draft, and Sugg's injury, this year the division championship is going to come down to Steelers vs. Bengals.
    So I voted O-line above.

my thoughts as well Bengals will be in 2009 form with a better QB so we need to step the [badwords:7b8s2sep]****[/badwords:7b8s2sep]up big time an make sure everyone knows we are #1 and #2 doesn't mean anything to us

By that logic, we shouldn't have the rookie OL members as an option either, since none of them have done anything for Pittsburgh yet either, which would pretty much negate this whole poll topic.

I think a lot of things have happened, between all the changes with our team and thuggs going down, to really help us this year. Let's just hope we take advantage of this opportunity!

Good point, well made. I would still say that the expectation on what Haley is going to do far exceeds what the o-line will do (Decastro has to do what he's done in college at a pro level; Haley seems to be expected to change our offensive philosophy, install a power running game, change Ben's play, etc. etc.). But you're right, of course.

All I can say for sure is that I'm very hopeful that all of these things will work together to improve the Steelers offensive line in a much needed way.

they were hurting a LB before he got hurt, their defense is what wins them games.... any dent to that... i also think the loss of suggs will cost them 2 games... which in a tough division is a lot

Ray lewis and ed reed both have loss a step or two and one injury could be the end for both no matter how minor.Ray missed several games last season with tuff toe.Reed with shoulder, concussions and what else? Their corners are garbage. So with that said, with the loss of suggs could be devastating.
So I voted for both t. suggs and oline
