Matakevic vs Sean spence

    if Sean spence out of shape is better than matakevic, Is that the end of the Road for matakevic in Pittsburgh ????

    Spence apparently is getting up to speed and is performing better then when he first arrived. he had a few months off and it took some practices and games to get into game shape. They say he is close to performing at the highest level his able to.

    I think Dirty Red is a glorified great special teams player. Like Clint Krediwalt once was, a guy like that.

    Great special teams player, that can fill in for middle linebacker for a little bit if need be, but lack of speed skill set will leave him exposed in a long term ILB setting.

    But I like dirty red, he was a tackling machine at TEMPLE.

    It certainly isn't a good sign if you think he was ever going to be a starter but his position is not in danger so long as he keeps up the great STs work. And as others have said he is dealing with a shoulder that requires off-season surgery.

    No. Matakevich is a great STer. There’s still room on the roster for guys like that. I just hope he never sees the field on defense because he is a massive liability out there.
