RIP Junior. Wonder if they will tie this to concussions?

Suicide is never the answer, if that is indeed what happened. Thought I remember a while back when he tried to wrecked his car over a cliff or something and he just played it off. But, he was great football player and was very classy with the way he carried himself. Prayers go out to his family very sad event.

I did a quick search on suicide methods and a gunshot to the chest is the 4th most lethal method of suicide behind shotgun shot to the head, cyanide and gunshot to the head. The site I was on rated the agony of each method and gunshot to the chest was rated at 16 on a scale of 1-100 with 100 being the most severe and the time of death is listed as 1.4 minutes which was the shortest in the list of 28 methods. From those statistics, it sounds like it may be fairly common.

Depression is such an insidious disease. Men need to realize that it's not weak to ask for help. Just 'sucking it up' doesn't work in the end. RIP.

A local shout out to #55. Being a die hard Steeler fan, but living in San Diego for 15+ years, I still had to admire the guy. His work ethic was increadible, and his off the field commitment to his hometown was equalled by none. I hate the Chargers, but tough to see a legend like this, go out in this way........

reported on Mike and Mike that he never had a reported concussion, don't mean that he never had one. also said he would do his medicals stuff in his room and not in the trainers room so nobody would consider him weak.

They probably will and that got me thinking this morning. Dick Butkus is still alive, Lambert, Singletary, Lawrence Taylor all still alive. I mean, c'mon, LT is still alive after all the hits he dished out AND all the blow? Junior's problems probably didn't stem from concussions. Interesting note: there are now 8 players from the Choker team that got demolished in the SB that have died before the age of 45.
