At least Spence is a team guy while you cling to nostalgia!

Cant wait to see JH crash and burn in NE and add that to your Vince Williams portfolio :hehehe:

No one acts up as a Pat; it just doesn't happen or you are gone immediately. Steelers are softer.

This is the same way I feel, I think we will never know the real story so I feel it is time to move on. As much as I have stuck up for JH not one ounce of me will be rooting for him vs us...I sure as hell will be rooting for him vs the Jets. I know that is wrong but again I have stuck up for him here saying he is not washed up, I would like him to show me I was right and not look like a fool.

Can't argue with that. Like I said before this could't have been handled any worse by Tomlin. Makes me wonder what kind of a person Bud is by saying stuff about Harrison that wasn't true (shazier, mentoring) . That seems like a pretty honest response from Harrison. He quietly asked for his release 3X and was disrespected. I do think Harrison earned the courtesy of an honest discussion about his role on the team . I know Pouncey also went off a bit but I also know a little about his personality.

Thats not an excuse to do what he did.

Always been a JH fan but very disappointed in what I have been hearing these past few days. His plan was obviously to be as big a pain in the ass as possible until they released him.

Tomlin was doing what was bet for the team by keeping him around, putting the best talent on the field and keeping an insurance policy. Too bad if James didn't like that.

In the end, he got his release but he still may end up with only a participation trophy. Wonder how he will feel then. Way to stand by your teammates.

Two sides to every story and the truth is probably in the middle some where. Harrison may look at mentoring as something like telling them to take care of their body, or hand placement or where to line up for a particular play. Bud may think it is more like break down tape with me, tell me what to do against this player or this scheme, help me be better. Who knows for sure.

I won't get in the hospital thing because I hate hospitals and I won't ever fault another human being for not wanting to be in a situation I don't want to be either. I won't fault Harrison if he went or not, if he chose his own time to be there so be it. Coming face to face with ones mortality is unnerving to say the least.

Yup none of this would've ever happend if steelers didn't care about his feelings if he plays or not, they played nice and released him ...Billichick will never ever give 2 hoots about their players feelings .

Why? Why can't he just suck it up and be a team player and just stay inactive? He might not even play in ne, so why on earth would you wanna punk your teammates and coaches?

Bottomline is JH and everyone else on that roster are PROPERTY OF PITTSBURGH STEELERS, you play for them not the other way around ...But Steelers did not stand their ground and JH played them ...

JH didn't want to go....he wanted to go to NE.

What did JH do, sign with a team going to the playoffs after we cut him cause we didn't play him? We keep hearing from our players I am glad JH finally responded. So let's see we have heard from Dupree who most people dislike on this board and we are suppose to believe him, Oh wait we heard from Pouncey too. Yes the same Pouncey that was sticking up for Aaron Hernendez....ok!

I do not like that JH signed with the cheats and I also do not like watching him go out like he did. But I will say this JH has been one heck of a Steeler and has earned my respect and one signing with the cheats isn't gonna change that. JH has done move for this team and organization than Dupree could ever think of.

You implying he had a plan is wrong, he has said over and over week after week he wanted to play. I believe JH when he says he was told he would be used at the back end of the season hence why this is a big deal to him.

What is really funny is there has been on here how JH has helped these 2 young guys, I would love to hear TJ's take on that. IMO JH has earned everything and also deserved a hat the last few weeks especially with RS going down.

To sit here and put all the blame on JH is crazy and us as a fan base who are so loyal is sickening. Do I like seeing a 92 in New England hell no but I am not gonna hate him and all he has done for us because he signed there. Don't tell me MT and KC did not know what was gonna happen cause my phone and facebook blew up with people telling me minutes after we let him go he was gonna sign with the Cheats!

Everyone can say he is 39 and slow and can't cover, ok why was he kept here week one? We all know he can't cover so if we are moving to a system that has the OLB's cover why keep him? You either play him situationally or let him go.....week 1!!!!!! Shame on the Steeler organization for letting it get this way and shame on JH for letting this happen. Both are at fault and I hope this don't come back and haunt us, you bet your a$$ when he comes around the edge on AV with his bull rush and AV has his arm out them calls that we never got....will get call for the Cheats. That will piss me off, but hey maybe they lose to KC and we don't have to worry about it. :smiley1:

I respect TJ Watt for not getting into the mud on this issue.

(Of course, my saying that means he’ll talk to the media by lunchtime.)

Wow, was really hoping you just disagreed with the part about Tomlin putting the best talent on the field (even know youd be wrong)

Who the hell are you guys to tell Bud he cant speak up because he hasnt done anything yet? I would love to see how you guys would react if someone told you you cant speak your mind, holy **** the nerve of some of you.

Shame on the Steelers organization? Why? Because things unfolded differently then they envisioned? You want them to pull TJ off the field for a slow 40 year old past his prime? Really? Thats best for the team? I dont know why you mentioned Shazier, has nothing to do with JH playing time. So unless you want to pull Bud and put JH on the wrong side, sure you could do that and would be a really bad idea. Like him or not, Bud will be manning that position for a few more years at least. Hes no where near Jarvis level, he actually has produced and taking reps away from him would be a poor decision just to soothe James ego. They are 12-3, did playing Bud over JH really hurt the team???? Did JH not getting snaps hurt the team????

The freaking fan favoritism being shown to JH is ridiculous and nothing short of enabling bad behavior. He acted like a punk while here and then acted like a punk again when he went to NE. I really dont care much that he went to NE, I think hes washed up, who cares. Im bothered by his behavior while here. Yeah, Im sure Bud is just lying his ass off, that makes sense. And did you really go there with Pouncey just so you dont have to believe the crap JH pulled?

This is the part I don't get your getting all worked up over things you are thing you are hearing. I have no problem at all with Bud opening his mouth, but how do you(or I) know what is true and what isn't. Right now I have a problem with what is coming out of his mouth not that he opened it. I am basing my OPINION on what JH has released and it is my right to believe JH over Dupree. As a Steeler fan JH has more credibility, as for Bud's play screw that man. I can't believe you would question that, I have been one of the guys that has stuck up for him when so many were comparing him to Jarvis.

As for pulling TJ off the field....please. Don't tell me there is times when they could have gotten JH in. Your bothered by JH behavior that's your right. As of right now I am not and as more comes out I may change my mind. But hearing JH's side I totally get it, the dude is a competitor and when he thought he was going to be there he was pissed, I would be too. All that this guy has done for this team he has earned it. I am so pissed he is a Cheat and I am so pissed there is a chance that instead of the focus being on us vs the Cheats it is all gonna be about JH vs us. As for Pouncey tell me i'm wrong tell me he hasn't been outspoken about things he had no knowledge of. It is not me being a fan that can't see the truth, it is the guys who want to believe what everyone says is gospel.

You want to keep going back and forth so be it or we can't just leave it the way it is, totally up to you. Me I have had enough of this BS and am ready to more onto what is more important. The clowns and the playoffs......but your choice bud.

Im not touching the rest of your post but im not following this part. Are you saying please, as in why cant you pull TJ off the field or that they could have found a way to get JH on the field with TJ? Because I'd like to hear it. What position did you want him to play in order to get on the field? Because he sure wasnt in his natural position with TJ in the way.

No I am saying please cause who would want Watt off the field for JH? But don't tell me Watt plays 100% of the snap counts cause he has not. Not sure what your thinking but just cause I feel like JH still has something left don't mean I want him as a starter. Also I would think now with RS out Watt would be used a little more to help the coverage leaving a change to mix JH in. Also when Tuitt moves inside there would be a opportunity to mix things up with JH at DE/LB.

As far as I can tell the people that have stuck up for JH aren't saying he should be a starter they are saying he can still contribute. I think a lot of people are taking things the wrong way. jmo.

this whole thing has been a little wierd.

if hes being disruptive and sleeping in meetings and being disrespectful then suspend him for conduct detrimental to the team.

its unfortunate it came to this but its a reality all nfl vets face. he wants to keep playing and thats his right, but the steelers have paid him a ton of money. the last few years he was there because of a few players like jarvis jones were issues. this year tj watt finally looks like that piece weve been looking for at olb. things do change and if harrison is just done as a nfl starting caliber pass rusher then so be it. if he had the impression that he was owed something then that is on him. obviously he wasnt showing he still had it to the coaches. i know, i know hes a beast and lifts weights like an animal.....that dosnt make him any better at football. the quick speed movements have slowed down some and thats enough to make him an average or below average nfl player.

yes this whole thing sucks because all this at the end of his career, but it is a business decision and i think our steelers make a hell of a lot of right decisions. i could care less if he feels cheated or felt lied to. there are too many of our players that have said things about the situation and im gonna believe them. i just wish the steelers would not have given him the opportunity to create this f-in side show at the end of the season.
