1.The atmosphere in the locker room took years to evolve. From AB’s “What it is”,[]
that morphed into his Facebook live nightmare. I don’t Blame AB, it was a set up for failure.

2.Our QB has a hidden door in his locker that he retreats to. Odd to say the least. He is a Captain and often disappears. Some players didn’t know there was a door.

3.A special teams captain was not even announced at the onset of the year. Named Dirty Red 9-26-17.

4.Allowed Porter and his Drunk/Assault which was conveniently brushed aside, to stay on staff, and now let’s players sleep through film sessions.

I know each action isnt necessarily related, but when you fill in each knuckle headed moment that I didn’t write down and connect-they are all cumulative and it results in an atmosphere that is hard to turn around. The only cure is to WIN or clear your room of these people.

Veteran leadership in the locker room seems to have failed through retirement, not stepping up, or just wrong ideals.

I believe MT has to do more than Coach on the field and speak at the podium. He will have the perfect opportunity to start a new
“Locker Room” approach once Ben retires.

-Don’t laugh at the coach on the field comment.

~I believe this is where Martavis Bryant’s “Alien” “Avatar” Nickname came from-in the video.

You make a lot of assumptions that may or may not be true. It sounds like his practice schedule was the same as his camp schedule. He was not required to fully participate in the activities. All I’m saying is that billion dollar organizations do not make rash decisions. This would have been discussed amongst all of the owners as well as the GM. They would have discussed it with their PR folks and legal team. I would bet that his actions this year have been discussed in-depth by all of the above mentioned folks all season, that is just how large organizations work. An NFL head coach is not like a college coach or a HS coach. This is why some college coaches could never achieve success in the NFL. Not all owners are as openly hands on as Jerry Jones, but you better believe they know what is going on day to day as does Kevin Colbert. Either way, he’s gone.

I'm sorry you don't grasp what a coaches duties are and what a general manager's duties are. The coach has input, but the final say is the gm. You also seem to be having problems connecting the dots. Was harrison playing? How many times was he inactive this year? Harrison reportedly wasn't practicing/ participating bench time is what happens when players pull that kind of stuff. That alone lays waste to your claims the coach allowed it to happen. I doubt Colbert, Tomlin, or porter lied to Harrison. If harrison had kept up his end of the bargain then I'm sure he would have played and been active on game day. We also don't know what happened that ultimately led to his dismissal. It's entirely possible he went in there acting like a lunatic and they finally said enough. Or maybe his attitude was affecting team chemistry. We might not ever know all of the details, but to blame the coach and accuse him of lying is weak.

I don't think there was any chance of him going to the HOF even before this.

The Steelers are 12-3 and have 50 sacks, so good riddance Harrison.

If the Steelers perform well, it happens in spite of Tomlin else, it's all his fault. With some in Steeler Nation, those are the default settings. Harrison had a nice career with the Steelers, but it's over and I fail to understand all the buzz about it. So, he went to NE, big deal. Sooner or later, he is going to have to accept that his career as a professional football player is nearly over. That's his problem, not the Steelers organization.

My guess on this part is that they assumed Watt would hit the rookie wall and would need spelled - who better than a fresh JH? Didn't quite work out that way, so maybe they were still thinking they could unleash him in the playoffs -OR- they didn't like what they were seeing in practice from JH. I don't know, pure speculation on my part. But hearing that they "had a plan" for JH makes me think I'm possibly nearer to the truth than not.

Not to dogpile on Tomlin, but what does it say about him that these types of malcontents like Blount, Moss and Harrison (et al) go to NE and suddenly are on their best behavior? Seems to me that other coaches won't let these types of things fly from the outset. Not sure we can say that about MT.

Perfect scenario for me, first play of James Harrison’s Cheatriot career, he tears his ACL and is done.

Given that we didn’t know what was simmering in Pittsburgh, I think this says more about people’s nonstop adulation of New England than anything.

We have no idea how their locker room is. There could be all sorts going on, behind closed doors. There could be a regime of iron discipline, or it could simply be that the players mentioned all got more playing time at NE (and in the case of Moss, records etc.) - for a different coach, we’d be saying that was giving in to player egos. Hell, Belichick seemed fine with Brady throwing his receivers under the bus once or twice.

The point is, “joining the dots up” will largely reflect our original view of a coach.

    Ender,
I don't know if I agree with that or not. I think a case can be made either way. His chances are less now because of the type of teammate he has turned out to be. Whether that matters or not Im not sure. Before all of this I would've believed that he makes it in no problem. Regardless of what we know now, last week JH was one of the greatest linebackers to play the game..

I can't really agree with this - after all, Warren Sapp is in the HOF, and he's a 100% tool that has been busted for solicitation, among other things. So I doubt JH being a little b*tch in the clubhouse this season would ruin his chances.
