Yea, Harrison was being angry from no playing time (and the team told him coming in he would play a role similar to last season but obviously he did not).

But who does Bud think he is in mocking #92? What has Bud EVER done to think he's in position to mock the all time franchise sack leader and former league D MVP?

Bud thinks his 14.5 sacks compare to 92's 82.5?

Pump the breaks Bud. Show just a tiny bit of respect. You openly laugh at the notion of JH being a mentor, but it wasn't you leading the LB drills in camp; it was 92.

JH should act the part of the franchise sack leader and former league MVP. i don't blame bud at all. they paid harrison good money to lead and not be a friggin dead beat. show the team you have some pride about what you have done and show the new guys what it means to be a pro. they are all going to go through what james is at some point.

Oh, were you there watching JH mentor the young guys? I wonder how well Bud learned to snore in meetings from James' mentoring.

Or if he learned to wake up at 430 go lift like crazy then say he is hurt come practice time only to be lifting again the next morning. Oh maybe if Bud is banged up and has to sit out a game he learned he can just leave the Stadium.

I say good for bud Bud! From all accounts JH was acting like a huge jack ass.
Being a young guy bud could very easily have followed along with that type of attitude. Luckily he has enough sense to know when a guy is acting like a jackass and he called him out on it.
Just because JH is the all-time sack leader that doesn't give him the right to sleep during team meetings or skip practices or be insubordinate or act like a total douche.

If you want to support James Harrison by all means do so. I won't though. He can suck it!

Would you rather Bud just lie?

A reporter asked a question to which he gave an honest reply. I have no problem with that.

And Bud's great attitude gave us a whopping 6 sacks....a first round pick playing OLB for the Steelers.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, then why did the team lie to JH if they knew they were playing using this new philosophy? Why would they lie to him? What was the point of that?

Who he is, is 92's replacement. Him and TJ are. When Joe Porter was let go he said. Hey, it happens. James can do what I do and more so they are going to pay James. 92 should have talked to 55 however, if he was sleeping in meetings and being a butt hole. Then he is gone

So how many sacks do you have to have before you can speak out against James Harrison?
I don't think bud was questioning JH 'S productivity. So I don't really see how buds stats are relevant to anything. It wouldn't have mattered even if it was some stiff on the practice squad. JH was acting like an ass and he got called out.

On a sidenote our defense has changed. It's a fact that they're not asking the outside linebackers to be the primary pass rushers anymore.

If you want to start a thread debating buds lack of productivity that's fine, but this thread is total B. S.

So, what he did in camp 6 months ago erases all of the negative crap that went on since?

He was asked about #92 being a mentor to him or others. By the sounds of it, James more than likely never lifted a finger towards helping the younger players. We know for sure now that he hasn't over this past season, so I would suspect he hasn't done that since day 1. I'd laugh too after getting the vision of JH sleeping in a recliner during team meetings. I'm surprised Bud didn't fall on the ground in that moment of questioning.

Just by the way Dupree laughed at the absurdity of the question makes me have some doubt if he mentored at all besides some pointers in TC. Maybe Bud would be a better player if JH92 was a better mentor

But I could see JH92 thinking that no one ever helped him out, (going to nfl europe, several practice squads, etc) so why should I help anyone else? It's an old school way of thinking, but I see it in my trade all the time.

They probably didn’t lie to him. They probably underestimated just how much slower he would get. He said himself when he asked for his release the first time Tomlin told him he was nuts that he was there in case of injury. Things and playing time change. I also bet they didn’t think Watt was going to be as good as he has been right away.
