The steelers offer was higher than anything he was offered and eventually signed for...

Name the last Belichick former assistant coach who won anything as a HC? All of his assistant coaches look great in NE, on their own not so much.

It's time for Harrison to get on with his life's work.

Ben has never been convicted so all it is and was are accusations. I am glad the court systems say innocent until proven guilty. Until you can prove that he has done the things he was accused of, I will take the man at his word

Actually, he was guilty of everything I printed. He was never charged with rape because there wasn't enough evidence, but there was plenty of evidence (provided by witnesses) that he got the woman who was not yet 21 drunk and had her locked in the bathroom with him.

I've defended the guy for years. The other accusation against him was a joke and he took far too much crap for it. But I'm also going to be honest about what he did.

Allen isn’t getting cut. They didn’t keep him on the team for nothing. If they cut him another team would sign him in a second on potential alone. Not many 6’3” corners in the league.

Fielder isn't going anywhere, either. And the suggestion that the Steelers should cut their starting tight end instead of their fifth outside linebacker doesn't even deserve a response.

Allen, we're not cutting a guy with a ton of potential to keep a guy that most certainly wouldn't be here next year.

TE, if you cut a TE then you're down to two. If an injury happens then you're screwed.

Wilcox, can't cut a safety then you'd be down to 1 back up for two Safety positions. We've already had injuries at this position this season. Not an option.

McCullers, People can say McCullers all they want. We use a NT and you have to have a back up. He's it right now.

Matt Fieler, maybe this guy could have been an option. Problem is we've see Foster miss time this season and we were a BJ Finney injury away from seeing him in action. But yes maybe he could have been considered.

We are a bit overload at CB. That's really the only place I can see a cut coming from. Sensabaugh or William Gay.
I think they like Gay to much to let him go. Remember when Shazier went down and he was calling the defense?

Sensabaugh is really the only one who makes sense to me.

Again for the record I'm still a bit pissed that they cut Harrison. Feel like he earned the courtesy of waiting till seasons end.
At the same time I understand that we're trying to win a championship and that sometimes you have to make tough decisions to achieve the ultimate goal.

Total speculation on my part, but maybe some kind of agreement was made that they'd get through these next two games without any major injuries, get AB back, cut Hunter and bring him back for the playoffs.

It's sad how his tenure played out with the Steelers. JH is my all time single favorite and let's face it, there is STIFF competition among the Steelers. JH was a warrior. That's why we cheered for him. He never failed in the role for which I admired him. Best wishes and thank you for your valor!

He was a FA and didnt want to move to safety and couldnt come to terms on money. Signed with 49ers, then Ravens, then Raiders I believe.

My favorite all time Steeler. Sucked to see him leave.

For the life of me, I don't understand how they used Silverback or James Conner this year?

    What a waste of resources.

Sensabaugh was probably the best choice if they wanted to keep Harrison. Feiler wasn't an option, especially with Foster in the concussion protocol this week. I know Foster has been saying all week that he would play, but he did miss practice Saturday and I don't remember reading that he had been cleared. They haven't announced the inactive list for today yet, but he could be on it. That means Feiler would definitely get a hat.

Nick Saban ..you said anything. Like I said above the other coaches went to crap teams..jets..browns..denver was nothing special. O'Brian of the Texans has had the most success as a HC working in Houston. Brady can make any coach look great you think Belicheat would have the same success with a below average QB like like his former assistants?

He didn't get her drunk. She was bar hopping and heard Ben was in town and she went looking for him with a T-shirt that said something like F-Me on it and went into the bathroom on her own will. The other accuser was a total nut job and the media did what they do best, try to convict somebody by swaying public opinion, and he was a young guy who just won a SB and everyone outside of Steelers fans wanted to hate him and the media needed ratings. That was honestly the first time I realized the media was the #1 enemy of the American public and now look at it. Fake sexual assault allegations have been an epidemic on college campus's for a long time and Ben was tried by the media and not given a fair shake. Ben has more than overcome that incident and proved himself and I proudly wear his jersey and always have, IDGAF what puppets think.

Bet you when Watt went into the medical tent the Steelers almost pressed the speed dial button.

Please note I already said that the other accuser was garbage. She bragged to her friends about having sex with him, then changed her tune a year later. The Pittsburgh media did an excellent job of exposing her for what she was, but by all means continue to demonstrate your lazy fanboyism by attacking all media for daring to write anything that might put one of your heroes in a bad light.

Your version of Roethlisberger's misadventure in Georgia includes quite a bit of fiction. He did get her drunk. His guys did bring her to that bathroom and lock her in. There was plenty of evidence of his behavior that night, just none regarding what happened in that bathroom. I'm as passionate a Steelers fan as anybody here, but I'm also able to see these guys for who they are. Great athletes are just like everybody else. Some are good people. Some are jerks who take advantage of others. It's okay to admit that not every Steeler is a saint.

Also, neither of those incidents were on college campuses. That was a small town bar frequented by college students and the other accusation was at a hotel.
