Why because he is the second most winning coach through his first 10 and 11 years? Or is it because he only wins with Cowher’s players yet there is now only one left and yet Tomlin still wins. He rebuilt a team on both sides of the ball while not having a losing season. Other than race I truly don’t see how someone would want another coach other than Tomlin. Belichick is excluded there. So tell me who would you hire to replace Tomlin?

Nothing. It is relevant to all the complaints about not showing him enough respect or feeling bad for the guy the way the team cut him loose.

Go back and read what Roethlisberger and his posse actually did the night that led to the rape charge in Georgia. That goes beyond boorish no matter what you think happened in that bathroom.

Regarding the value of turning one's life around, that is admirable, but it doesn't erase the past. That history belongs in the discussion.

It's a locker room move. James is pissed and he can't help but speak out.

What are our lbers doing....that they can't used deebo services...heck, even timmons services? Its sure not the physicality, its sure not setting the edge, its sure not tackling, and its definitely not getting to the qb. So, enlighten me.

I will miss and appreciate what James Harrison has brought to the Steelers. They brought him back this season due to uncertainty. TJ Watt being a rookie. We saw him step in for drafted waste Jarvis Jones. Watt excelled and with Chickillo playing strong James was expendable. The OLB position has changed in this Defense and unfortunately James was the odd man out. I thought he would be used more in pass rush situations as we saw against the Chiefs. But it was not to be.

    Thank you #92

Coverage. Our OLBs are asked to cover way more than before. This isn’t Lebeaus defense where the OLBs just cause havoc. That’s more of the DEs now. You could clearly see when Harrison got on the field heis just too slow now. Could you imagine Harrison trying to cover Jordy Nelson because Watt was left one on one with him. What should Butler run 2 defenses. One when Deebo is in and one when he isn’t? It does work that way. Square hole round peg.

I was with you until a couple weeks ago. He looked terrible in that game against Baltimore.
Call it rust or whatever you want.
No different than anyone else, when you get on the field you have to perform and make the most of your chances.
With that said. I still think he earned the right to finish the season.

You need to re-read the history. Ben was accused of rape by a women who was in love with him in Las Vegas.... Never charged!!! In Georgia he was accused of sexual assault --- exposing himself--- and was never charged.... If rape had occurred evidence would be available to make at least a charge which it wasn't .... Also those college women were drunk, wearing "DTF" badges and met Ben at several different places..... He wasn't a choir boy and made many poor choices but calling him a rapist is wrong.

Why does it have to be about race ? Because Tomlins Black?

Maybe it because his team is always slow to get started coming out of camp or because his teams always play down t their competition losing to poor teams or maybe it's because of poor clock management and he's out coached too often and can't get past the Paties..... Maybe we like him but think that this team should already have number 7 with the teams Colbert and Co has built....

This !!! The OLB has changed here in its usage and style .

Look at the snap count vs the pats.... The worse % of OLB play I've seen in years.

Deebo can still rush and still good on rush defense but he's definitely gotten slower in coverage. His comments and apparent attitude about not playing didn't help his cause to remain on the roster either.

I would've loved seeing him get his 3rd ring!!!

No way. He has a girls name. Plus he looks like a guy I saw driving around the other day with a dead deer in the back of his pick up truck. Also he wears his hat backwards.

I know very well about the Georgia story. Lets just say you and I view the events of that night differently.

As for the past, youd have to think Ben was guilty of rape to think there is anything to erase.

And for James, Im only aware of his domestic abuse incident and to be fair, if there was video of what he did, I would feel differently if it showed something like the Ray Rice video but I dont believe that to be the case.

So you're basing your facts on one game. When the lbers, who are much younger then he, has had numerous of bad games. He has to get reps.... not ride the pine

    You
Play to your strengths. Deebo rush the qb and set the edge. Let the younger guys go out with the t.e's and rb's. This is why we are so predictable. Our coaches have no omagination and our defense is so robotic

He wasn't given the playing time to prove anything this season.

The Defense isn't getting the job done, can't blame that on him.

I was hoping that James could ride it out, but I commented a few weeks ago that if it were anybody besides James Harrison, they'd have already been released. It hurts from a fan perspective after all he's done as part of the Steelers organization, but it was probably the right move. Sad day.
