With AB getting knocked out of the Pats game it got me thinking.
Who's more important to our success, AB or Bell?
Can we get by without AB easier than Bell or vise versa?
I'm thinking Bell is the one you can't afford to lose.

Brown always seems to make the catch when we absolutely needed it.

This. When you need a play...

But, Bell is a huge part not only running the ball but also is a solid blocker as well as a receiving threat.

Losing Brown is a blow but if Bell goes down it's a major blow. So I say Bell.

The Steelers with Bell and juju/Bryant are better than the Steelers with brown and no Bell.

Now that they have lost Connor, I'd say Bell simply because their options behind Bell are so awful.

If they had a backup running back comparable to their options behind Brown at receiver, I'd say it was Brown. I think we're going to get a painful lesson in how much he means to the team the next couple of weeks. You can laugh, but do the Steelers win the opener against the Browns without Brown? I doubt it. In all those close games this season, how often has it been Brown making the big play?

This. I'm starting to get worried. Steelers would have to completely implode to lose against the Browns, IMO. Not saying it couldn't happen. Texans will be playing for pride and roster spots for next year.... loose and care-free.

Bell because he's a multi-purpose back and not just one dimensional and teams have to a count for him twice.

What I'm more concerned about is LB and AB learning how important Big Ben was to their success after he is gone!

Bell probably won't be around. Some team will overpay for him.

The draft will be interesting in '18. Steelers need ILB, Safety and RB to back up Connor in the first 3 rounds. Also may need QB, TE and CB.

Some of those spots will have to be filled in free agency. If Ben retires, Steelers may be better off getting a mid-level Free Agent QB to compete with LJ... no way they can afford Cousins or Smith. The Shazier injury throws everything out of whack.

I’m worried about Brown after Ben retires. I’m worried Bell is going to be old and lose his touch in a few years.

If there’s any year to win a Super Bowl , right now would be pretty frkn great

Tough call but my respect for Bell, which was already sky high has grown even more after the Pats game.

BB couldnt scheme him out, even after Brown left the game.

Guys an amazing talent and I'm probably leaning more towards him then Brown. Simply because he is multi dimensional.

I say Bell, but you need a compliment of others as well. I think Ben Brown Bell are all needed as one, in order to get that 7th.

Tough call but I'd have to say we can survive a Brown injury slightly better than we can survive a Bell injury. The WR corps below AB is a more talented group than the backup RBs and you still have Ben distributing the football.

Being that Conner just went on IR, and your one play from seeing Fitz Toussiant as the primary running back. I say Bell is more irreplaceable than Brown at this point.

Brown is the best in the NFL at his position no doubt.

    But, we still have

JUJU and Bryant there. Along with Rogers, DHB, and even Justin Hunter.

I like that depth at WR more than our depth at RB.

I say Bell too..he runs..he catches and he can block..

Brown gets open and he takes 2 guys with him. Only thing I'm worried about not having Brown is ..teams may double team Ju Ju now.

While I liked what we saw from Connor he is a long ways from being a replacement for Bell. His blocking is average at best and he’s definitely not a threat as a receiver. With Bell our offensive is significantly more dynamic than without.

If Brown didn’t get hurt the Patriots were absolutely toast. They had no answer for martavis 1 on 1 and Juju is a beast.

I’d say Brown, him and Ben just have that head nod type of realationship going and you can’t replace that .

I would lean towards Bell. He is multi-faceted and keeps defenses honest. Without him teams would be able to worry more about the receivers and taking them away. Also we are not as deep at RB as we are at WR. I would go as far as to say Brown, Bryant, JJ and JUJU are given more opportunities to make plays (especially over the middle) due to Bell "holding" the LB's or them spying him. No doubt we are very fortunate to have the talent we have but it would be harder without Bell.
