Iike the steelers, I also like the giants, I also like the old Raiders, I also like John elways old broncos, I also enjoyed watching Troy Aikman , micheal Irving and emmit smith....I joined site 1 week before the game between pats and steelers last yr to root on the steelers... So if you guys wanna take away my library card, you can.

I see. It looks as if you're a casual fan of many teams but a rabid fan of no teams. That's fine, I know a few people like that. For the record though, if you're a true blue fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers whose fandom came of age in the 70s like me and many others on this board, it's an impossibility to "also like the old Raiders" and anything Dallas Cowboys. The word LOATHE is not a strong enough word to describe my feelings about those teams.

But anyway, I don't think anyone should be accusing you of being a troll. As far as I'm concerned, your opinions are just as welcome here as anyone else's. I totally disagree that the Steelers need a quarterback and when Ben retires, as petulant and passive aggressive as he is, we'll all realize that. I remember the two dark decades between Bradshaw and Ben and it wasn't much fun watching sometimes talented teams waste away because of the deficiencies at quarterback.

 

And one more thing, this post was about Tomlin so let me say this. I have been critical of Tomlin in the past and will be again in the future. It goes with the territory. I hold to the belief that Tomlin is a very good coach, but not a great coach at this point. Now, if he were to put a couple of more Lombardis in the case before he retires I may reevaluate the superlative that goes with his name. As it currently stands, I could count the number of head coaches on one hand that I'd rather have coaching the Steelers than Tomlin. If he were to be cut loose by the Steelers today, several teams would be lining up for his services tomorrow. He's our coach and I support him. Now let's go get number 7 even if the road runs through freaking Gillette Stadium!!!
