Antonio Brown has a partially torn calf muscle and is unlikely to play next week, but is expected back for the postseason, a source told @AdamSchefter.

Well, crap. Even if AB comes back for the playoffs, he won’t be anywhere near 100%. And don’t assume that the next two games are gimmes as well: this game today likely killed our morale, and we’re going on the road to play on Christmas. Also, the Browns have literally nothing to lose, and will be playing to keep themselves from a winless season. I could easily see us finishing 11-5 and having to play in the Wild Card round. This was likely the end of our season today.

Partially torn calf muscle. Will not require surgery. Didn't see a timetable for return. Sucks, with AB we win that game

Out for regular season, got 3.5 weeks to heal if they can win out

I don't get how you can come back from a torn muscle that quickly?

    I hope it's correcti though

No guarantee he’s back for the playoffs but at least it’s not broken.

I tore my calf. It sucked. I know he's a highly conditioned professional athlete and I am not, but I doubt very much that he's sprinting anywhere in 3 or 4 weeks.

The most important thing is that the muscle fibers heal properly and in alignment. While that sounds obvious, hurrying back from an injury like that increases the risk of repeat or even chronic reinjury.

    Fingers crossed...
