How will ILB be filled with Shazier and Matakevich out?

Both look to be out Sunday

It is what it is. Other than hope for the best there isn’t a thing we can do about it. This team had its problems, but it was the best team we’ve fielded in years. Sadly there’s a good chance things fall apart here at the end. Let’s hope they can mask our weaknesses schematically and hoist #7.

This year I'd be concerned for Watt to make that transition, but if this was year 3 or 4 for Watt, I would move him to ILB over Moats.

Moats against the Ravens will be okay, but he will get torched against the Pats. I'd rather have Fort or Spence out there over Moats.

The thing that might be plausible to me is if this is only a 1 or 2 down situation for Moats, and we will be playing Dime a majority of the time?

The Shazier injury is either going to distract them big time, or will propel them to the Super Bowl. The way they turned it on after his injury Monday, I think there's just as good of a chance at them getting #7

 

Hightower was replaced.. We can do this.

I like Harrison when rushing, but I guarantee you the Patriots will isolate him and burn him in the pass game. That is exactly why they did last year in the playoffs.

 

Moats, Fort, and Spence, are all better than Matakevich. I see no issues.

Rise up, raise your play, and dedicate the season to 50. Win the Super Bowl. Period.

 

No, I like Debo on the inside on running plays and keep Watt on the outside, on pass plays bring Spence in foe Debo. This is only against the Ravens, against the Patriots is totally different.

How do we fix ILB........I say Ben and the boys have to step up and score score score!!!! If this happens we will be playing more nickle due to the fact that the other teams will have to play catch up. We all have talked about how this offense has not played up to it's ability, well if they do from here on out ILB fixed!!!!! JMO

I don't think Watt has the size or the strength to play MLB, he'll get eaten up in there. Look what happened to Matthews. I don't think his career ever recovered from that move.

NY Steelerfan is 100% correct. The offense needs to step up big time this week and put up points and I would say eat up clock doing it. Protecting the D this week is going to be key.

 

I don't think their play is being compared to Matakevich. It's what we're giving up without Shazier.
