I live in Rochester NY and my wife and all of her family are Bills fans. Its been a long road the past decade or so for them...its nice to see the team doing well this year. I have never gone to a Bills game with my wife and finally broke down this year and said I would go.
We picked the perfect week to do it too. I hate the Jets so I hope to see them kick the snot out of them. And it should leave enough time for me to get home and see the Steelers on Sunday Night Football.
So this week...Go Bills...and of course GO STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a bad feeling about your marital bliss in January. ;) :roflmao:

Have fun. And remind her that she now owes you a Steeler game.

Lol....I know. It has never been an issue since we have been together since 2001. The Bills have never been in the playoff picture in that time so every year she just defaults to supporting me and routing for the Steelers on my behalf.
That game last year got a little sticky :)
She actually does want to go to Heinz field with me some time. Its about a 4.5 hr drive and I did it with a buddy that landed us free tix last year for the Oakland game. It gets expensive cuz its far enough that you really need an over night before or after depending on the game time and I don't expect to see free tix again....some year we'll go together.

I was in the military with a dude from Buffalo and have kept in touch since we both got out in 1998. I drive up from Virginia and go to at least one Buffalo game each year...this year was the Raider game...Buffalo was down 21-3 at the half and came back and won it at the end. Stadium was going nuts. Awesome stadium and awesome fans...great place to tailgate. Great environment if you are rooting for the Bills. They are my next favorite team after the Steelers of course....so I usually have a great time there.

I was there in 2004 when Bills needed a win to make the playoffs and we had I think 2nd seed and a bye locked up. We played our 2nd and 3rd stringers and Wille Parker made his name known by running all over the Bills...we won the game and knocked the Bills out of the playoffs. I was in my steeler gear of course, but im not the type of fan that talks smack and rubs anything in...usually anyways :towel: The Bills fans had to be deeply disappointed but they were very cool about it because they knew they had nobody to blame but themselves. Was also there last year for the Steeler game and it was the most stressful game I've ever been to. Game meant nothing to Bills and we needed it. Bills fans were happy to be in the game and quite honestly I think they could have cared less if they lost. Thanksfully we won in OT...thanks Stevie Johnson!

Enjoy the game...make sure you get there early to tailgate...Bills fan are one of the few that do it right :herewego:

Yep, we are going in plenty of time to tail gate. Should be fun. I really hope they win so I can see the Jets lose and my family can be happy with a win from their team. I am driving and cooking so they can enjoy :)

I recall that game a few years back. It was hard not to at least chuckle a bit about our 2nd and 3rd stringers taking it to them when they needed it for a post season birth. I didn't rub it in though.

Would I be wrong to wear Steelers gear to the game? I am obviously not wearing Bills stuff, but should I just go neutral?

I wear my steelers gear everytime I go to Ralph Wilson Stadium..or any other stadium for that matter. Absolutely nothing wrong with that in my opinion. I don't like "loud" clothing...and I very rarely wear jerseys. I'm usually decked out in black and I have a black hat with a steelers logo on it stitched in camo that I usually wear. Thats what I wore to the Bills/Raiders game at Ralph Wilson Stadium this year...and I was mistaken a few times for a Raider fan...but all was good after I pointed to the camo Steelers logo :towel:

You must have been sporting a mohawk and carrying a club with spikes in it and walking your wife behind you on a leash.

So you are telling me the new Woodley Jersey I got last week is too much :D
First game wearing it we beat down on the Pats. Might have something here with this one...I'll at least have it on at 8:20pm !

Not at all...if that's your style then have at it. I was simply saying I don't often wear jerseys, but I certainly don't have any issues with those that do. You should see my wife and 3 kids on game day...enough jerseys and black and gold for all on this message board :-D
