ESPN coverage of MNF

Agree... there is some cheesy crap on NFL Network, but it's better than ESPN. ESPN hasn't been good in over a decade, IMO.

 

And don't forget "Cam Haywood".

 

Worst game I've ever heard Gruden call. He's usually one of my favorites, but he was terrible last night. Not just his bias towards Burfict and the Bengals, but he missed calls all night and butchered peoples' names throughout the game.

 

He also claimed there was nothing there on the PI called on the bengals covering brown. The replay clearly showed the corner holding browns arm when the ball came down . Completely impeding browns ability to go for the catch. The definition of PI on display and Gruden says terrible Call .

 

Too many examples....to put it simply he made a real ass out of himself last nite. Pathetic job by him.

I just laughed every time he said Ben's last name. I even questioned if I knew how to say it. Then I wondered if Gruden always gave wrong names, I just usually don't know the teams as well.

The announcers' jobs are to sell the product. Which, I find surprising at times when they criticize the officiating as much as they do. Usually it seems they take what little evidence there is and back up the call. How did they not see the face mask on the replay by Green? How did they not see Bryant get his arm pulled? Maybe it's just my Steeler glasses I wear that cause me to notice those versus what they say about other teams. Just remember, nothing they say, affects the outcome of the game. I'll also be surprised if the NFLPA doesn't get upset with them for lobbying to have these players suspended. They are trying the case in the court of public opinion, even though they missed all those other obvious calls.

 

I have really had enough of these 2 they STINK.

 

Gruden and his bowl haircut has been an irritant long before last nights game. While he does well diagramming plays and making you understand whats going on, he sucks at everything else. Then again, most of these guys suck in general. Very few are gonna call the games well game in and game out. I do not understand who actually watches games because gruden is on tv. Never understood how that works.

 

Theismann was always my biggest irritant but Gruden is getting pretty darn close.

 

I was stuck watching a Spanish feed and was lamenting the fact that it wasn't the same without hearing the crowd and the play by play. Sounds like I was the lucky one!

 

Fixed that for you.

 

I miss Tirico. He wasn't annoying and nearly always had things right.

2. Anyone remember the Tampa Bay defense? I'm pretty sure Lynch, Sapp, and co. decaptiated some guys in their day.


I don't want to sound like an old timer, but I grew up with Bill Cowher Power and Blitzburgh! Player safety aside, some teams hardly even run the ball. Everything I used to like about football is disappearing.
