Monday night is a long way off so here is a social thread to pass the time.

With no-shave November officially over I have a good 5 to almost six weeks beard going. To be honest it is looking rough and typically I have trimmed it up by now and left just the goatee. Told the wife I'd clean it up this weekend but I'm sometimes irrationally superstitious. So the beard has worked it's magic to the tune of a 9-2 record, do I leave it until after Monday's game or do I throw caution to the wind and shave thus being Deliah to the Steelers' Samson?

How is everyone spending the first weekend of December?

Leave it until after the super bowl.

OK - so you have to take up selling cough drops until after the SB? Better than lucky underwear.

Buy a #99 jersey, and tell her you're working on your Keisel costume for next Halloween.

I don't think I have the genetic make up for that. My facial hair goes in splotches which is why the goatee is the go to mode. I think Brett is directly descended from vikings.

It takes a minimum of 2 months for most men's beard to fill out completely (longer to get length). There are some super growers out there, of course, and some guys with much more follicles and/or thicker/curlier hair that helps give it a fuller look, faster.

There's nothing wrong with giving it a small "clean up" trim to make it look even and less disheveled. But give it until after Christmas to see how far it can get in terms of being full. and f course, if the Steelers are still on a win streak, you're just going to have to keep it going. ;)

Also for the sake of the team DO NOT trim the nose hair, ear hair or any hair for that matter...

If you're a biological female, by all means, listen to your wife! Assuming you're a guy, can you imagine telling your wife that her hair style sucks and needs to be changed? You'd be ducking frying pans left and right! Tell her that the beard stays in the interest of gender equality. Of course this advise only apples if your couch is really comfortable.

Gotta keep it at least until we lose. If your wife loves you she will understand.

Never mind the beard, what you really have to ask yourself is where did you go so wrong as to marrying a woman who would jeopardize a Steelers win streak for the sake of social norms, or worse yet, aesthetics. You really should put more thought into your life choices, man. :nono:

My wife finally got used to my beard and kinda likes it.
Just over 4 Years growing and using different trimming techniques.
But in the last year, I’ve let it grow wild!

I had a beard for a year and a half. I finally cut it off. 2 weeks later I told my wife she didn’t pay any attention to me. She argued the point. I asked if she noticed anything different about me. She didn’t. I told her I cut off my beard. She looked and asked “when”? 2 weeks!

Had beard and shaved it off when wife was just my girl friend 30 yrs ago. Went to her place she opened the door and said "oh I don't like it".

Felt like saying ok see you in two months. Grew it back and have been happily married to it and my wife ever since.

Trimmed into a goat tee when they were looking for the uni bomber lol.

Every time I grow out a beard, it gets dandruff really bad. I tried Head and Shoulders shampoo, but it didn't work.

Are sure it's dandruff and not just salt from all the tears of angst you cry over the Steelers? :hehehe:
