Hi! I’m new and I’m sure everyone’s is tired of this topic......but.... I’m finally coming to my first Steelers game (11/26) and it’s me n a friend (packers fan)! Neither ever been to Pittsburgh so we are unsure of where to stay (area/hotel) or where to visit and have drinks! We would love to enjoy some tailgate time but again it’s only two of us and we won’t know anyone there so looking for any advice on how to make this a great adventure!

Welcome aboard. You've arrived at the best Steeler MB in the universe. I'm really intrigued though that both you and your son are wearing your Steeler jerseys inside out ;) Answers to all of your questions will be addressed very soon when guys get home from work - they will post links to your questions as these are asked quite often. You're goinna love Pittsburgh. Have a blast. :dfense::herewego::towel::yeehaw:

    Welcome to the board.

A trip to Primanti brothers in the strip district, is a must it's the original. As far as hotels, there are plenty. If staying downtown costs are up there, but you could stay out of town a tad cheaper. But, I guess it depends on what your looking at money wise. Any of the North shore hotels will be outrageous price or if there any available. A lot of these hotels there sell out, because of many people doing the same thing you are.

Maybe look at downtown, if your able to walk it's about a mile to mile and half walk. But you get to take in all the tailgating etc on your walk.

If you want to join a tailgate some of them you can ask, some people will let you join a tailgate if you ask and give them money.

If not go over to stage AE it's right next to Heinz field you can get some drinks on game day in there.

I'd try like heck to get in on a tailgate it's a night game so should be a lot of tailgating before hand.

Have fun and welcome to the board!!!

I always recommend staying in South Side or Homestead. Cheaper than staying near the stadium. Then it's a short drive to the clipper so out of towners don't have to deal with the traffic. It also gives you nice views of the city and stadium especially at night. It's also near the Duquesne Incline so you could do that as well. Clipper drop you off real close to Stage AE, Bettis's, Southern Tier, and Tilted Kilt all in walking distance. Stage AE is basically like a big tailgate. Corn hole, music, and the Steelers pope will be walking around. OR park at like the Andy Warhol Museum and walk to the stadium thru all the tailgates and I'm sure somebody would let you join.
