Why did they rush Gilbert back, and now he is out again? I hate when NFL teams rush players back from injury. What is wrong with Tuitt?

A lot of times it’s the player who rushes himself back. With that type of injury, the trainers have to rely a lot on how the player says he feels.

Also... Hubbard’s play during Gilbert’s absence would be a good reason to let Gilbert play as soon as he said he felt ready.

Not sure Tuitt has overtaken Heyward, but will be missed.

Gilbert is the bigger loss, mostly because Hubbard has not been good in his place, but I assumed he was out a while from the moment I heard he aggravated the hamstring during last week's game. They need to be patient and get him healthy this time.

Tuitt is not their best defensive player. That is Heyward. Maybe Tuitt was headed there, but he hasn't been right physically at all this season.

I'm happy to see at least Williams is likely to play, but injuries have definitely made this a much more even contest Sunday.

Would it shock anyone if McDonald started since Gilbert is down?

Hubbs has Cincy to get his feet under him. If Gilbert isn't ready next week against the up and down Lions, Hubbs will be better prepared and battle tested. Then we have the bye.

As long as Hubbs holds his own the next two games, I hope Gilbert gets a 3 week break to heal up right.

I really hope Hubbard's play starts to justify your confidence in him. He has been battle tested in starts vs. the Bears, Ravens and Jags, and he gave up multiple splash defensive plays in each of those games plus drawing flags. To his credit, I didn't note any big negative plays on his part when he took over for Gilbert Sunday, so that's positive. I'm still pretty concerned though. I feel much more confident in our ability to fill in for Tuitt for a few games.

bells biggest runs all day came to the right side. hubbard must be doing something right. we ran well with hubbard and finney in the lineup. biggest output this year so far. using the run game will probably help the line and the offense overall.
