First of all, I love what AB has done for the Steelers from a football perspective. I love that he is an awesome athlete, who has made huge plays and helped score lots of points.

When I saw the first couple of interviews with AB back in 2010, I remember saying to my wife how excited I was about him, but what I was especially impressed with was how polite and humble he seemed in some of those early interviews. He always said "yes sir" or "yes maam" when being interviewed, and he seemed confident but soft spoken. I was excited to have such a good player who was also seemed respectful and humble.

After the next year or so, I started noticing the ego coming out, and it's just grown since. Now that he's a full diva WR, I feel almost the exact opposite about him.

As I said, I love what he does for the team on the field, but his sideline and off the field antics have really soured me toward him.

I don't know if he was like that all along, or if he just couldn't keep things in check when fame came knocking, but that's where I am in regards to my thoughts on him now.

I know some here are far more interested in stats than personality, but seeing classy players still means something to me. I wouldn't fault or argue with anyone who doesn't care about a player's personality and just wants to see them play, but it does make a difference to me.

It could be like when Terrell Owens became TO. Before that he was a hard nosed football player. Made that catch against Green Bay and the TO persona came out.

I was actually thinking this week about the Mike Wallace threads here back when he was a Steeler, and it was all "Wallace is a diva, AB is selfless and team oriented" etc etc.

I wonder if some of it is fans needing to see it as less black and white than selfish/team-centred.

What's so bad that he's done ? I don't understand. He threw a water cooler and live streamed in the locker room one time

He's cancer to the locker room. Apparently he's the one that wanted to kneel that started that whole ****storm. He's got Bell going after people on Twitter over comments about him. Now Foster is mad at Bell. I'm pretty sure the 2 years of him crying about more money and the Steelers caving a year early set a bad precedent. Probably why Bell held out all training camp. DeCastro wanting more money and now Gilbert wanting more money because what DeCastro got. His tantrum last week is why they targeted him 19 times against the best pass defense and Bell only got 15 touches. AB is cancer. How can you not see that?

You forgot to add World War 2 and the Great Fire of London to the list of things he's responsible for. Maybe the collapse of the Roman Empire as well?

No the collapse of the Romans Empire was Jerry Jones. AB did vote to block the Spartans going to war which lead to the rise of the Persian Empire

It was AB on the grassy knoll or is it Noll. Was AB standing on Nolls shoulders when he shot JFK. I think I just figured it out guys.

That guy would jeopardise the whole Hellenic peninsula just to pad his stats. A cancer indeed.

Without AB, we'd be 0-5. Literally no WR on the team can run a route or break a tackle other than him. He's kept us in every game almost

If the LaCanfora story is true about AB wanting to kneel then he's been the cause of almost all the unnecessary drama this season.

Like I said, I'm happy for what he's doing on the field, but his arrogance is getting old.

AB = Locker room cancer! I remember the old Browns and Ravens trolls in the old Sporting News forums saying that about Troy Edwards. :roflmao:

How do we know when Ben is only allowed to throw to one guy? I think a Bell, Connor, JuJu, Rodgers, James, Bryant offense would do great.

AB is an amazing WR, but I don't care much for him. I could do without him personally. Even if that meant losing, then so be it. I'd rather us draft another WR that isn't a full blown idiot like Brown. Tomlin has allowed it to get this bad though. The fact that Brown even has the nerve to do that facebook live crap in the locker room tells me that Tomlin doesn't have the team under control. Does anyone believe for a split second that any NE would dare do that when Belichek was addressing the team?

Tomlin needs to get these guys under control. It just seems like the whole team is ready to fall apart.

AB is great... and puts in tremendous work but cmon now... look at the attention he wants lol. Dude would drive a rolls Royce with his face plastered on it.

If he can be a decoy and not get his targets without complaining while helping us win, then I would believe he cares. Until then, he cares only for himself. You don't target AB 19 times to the #1 pass defense for nothing.

It's painfully obvious Ben wants to please Brown

Oh and look who is on top of receiving yards, all is well and dandy.

No, I cant imagine the Pats videoing closed team sessions at all.

    J/k

Maybe I'm being naive, but I don't see the whole team about to fall apart thing. There's obvious things going wrong on the field that could happen to the most unified team in the world.

A bit of refocusing this week wouldn't go amiss, mind, for players and coaches.

Technically he knelt in protest and shamed enough Spartans into blocking the war with Persia, but otherwise an accurate recounting of history.

So, uhm, you must really hate Lev Bell. He's so much worse. Compared to Bell, AB is Mother Theresa.

If I remember correctly, after AB bailed Ben out of a horrible performance against the browns. Ben, stated that AB, was his go to guy. When its time to make the tough catches... he look for 84 everytime and can depend on him to make the catch.

So he’s not “yes sir no sir”? Or soft spoken? Your dog whistle is burning my ears! I don’t remember Lambert being soft spoken and respectful? They are football players, there are personalities on that team we will never see. The man puts out 100% every game and is never an injured diva. He leaves it on the field and that’s all any of us should ask.

I love AB, he worked his way from the bottom to be a star.

He just forgot how to be humble. Just my take.

Why don’t you go out and get a Brady jersey? Your using a confirmed creater as an example to follow? Bellichek would do this Bellichek would do that. Bellichek was a complete failure in Cleveland period. He lucked up into a good quarterback and cheated his way from there. Let alone the fact that they are assured of 6 wins per year in their division which leads to home field and a bi. He didn’t win those last two SB’s, they were given to him. Randy Moss paraded around their locker room for years running his mouth. Rob Gronkowski’s pornstar 5way would land any steeler in hot water. The team is 3-2 and are looking at a tough schedule come no up.
