And yet every year the media, the local in particular will talk about how the Steelers are one of the top teams in the NFL and how this is #7.

I'm so tired of it and almost embarrassed for the people who say this stuff.

The schedule only gets harder from here.

At the rate this team is going, who do we take with the 6th pick?

Yeah, that's a bug I've had with Haley for awhile. I think he's done some good things with the offense, but struggles with playcalling. I've seen him try the counterintuitive game plan as well as go away in-game from something that was working. Hard to get an offense in rhythm like that - I don't know if he's trying too hard, doesn't have a good feel for what's working, or what, but it can be frustrating.

But we can't replace him because that's not the "Steeler way" of holding onto coaches well past their prime.

People said the defense quit. Ben quit the minute he said he thought about retiring.

I'll make a prediction too....if everyone was to be honest and speak the truth about this team of under performers including the coaches....the post loss complaint thread would be endless...

You saw last night how a championship team responds to embarrassment when the Pens and Ryan Reaves drug the Preds behind the woodshed and administered a thorough beating. I do not see the same heart with the Steelers.

There was a time when a home loss like this would lead to big win on the road the following week. There was a time.

Yep, right on time with that statement. I have nothing personal against Mike Tomlin, I think he is a fine football coach and a good person, but to paraphrase the emperor, it might be time for him to get on with his life's work elsewhere

You nailed it right on the head, the athleticism that he used to get by on is pretty much gone. His arm strength is noticeably down,he no longer has escape ability and the ability to effectively extend plays. I know he realizes it too hence the retirement talk. He doesn't love the game enough to put in the effort required mentally and physically to perform at a high level. He never took his training seriously and never dedicated enough time to film. He just got by on being athletic and those days are gone...

I have nothing personal against him either. Seems like a great guy and obviously loves football. But if it's not working it's not working. And I'm not taking about regular season records.

There were times they show press with Ramsey on Brown but five to ten yards off on the slot or Bryant and yet he never checked to quick slants. He was patient in the pocket to take the five yard check down to Bell. It was just uncomfortable to watch him struggle with phantom pressure.

It really depends how long it takes them to find a quarterback. There are pieces in place to make this team a winner again, but Landry Jones taking snaps ain't gonna cut it. I am more convinced than ever that Roethlisberger is done. Even if he doesn't want to retire after this season, he should.

I fell for this same BS also. How great our skilled players are. How this season we are one of the teams favored to go to the SB.
And then it started, Bell's contract dispute
Ben "saying" he is thinking about retiring. Why even say this publicly? GD drama queen.
Pothead Bryant running his mouth, worthless.
Last week Brown taking temper tantrums.

You know what, F them all. I get rid of all those selfish, attention grabbing sob's.
I'd rather go 4-12 than root or support this lazy drama queen sob's.

Thorn, I've been saying this for a while now. Ben's physical ability is what made him Big Ben. He doesn't have the mental makeup of a QB who can play into his late 30s or early 40s like Brady and Manning. His physical decline is quite noticeable this year and it's exposing his mental deficiencies. JMHO

This isn't a road game, it's a 'business trip', which always means a loss.
