    Yep.

Nevermind the likes of Bouye, "The Next One", Calais Campbell, Donte Fowler Jr., Telvin Smith, Malik Jackson, Myles Jack or even Tashaun Gipson. Others such as Yannick Ngakoue, Sheldon Day and Barry Church all present issues.

That defense has an abundance of talent and can win them games.

I do believe we can win but it is going to be one tough outing.

    Yep.

Letting Reggie go was odd from the Bengals point of view for sure.

Secondary has not been the same since.

I totally agree, if they shut the run game down I am worried when we go to the air Ben might go to the ground. This is the type of game IMO that Haley needs to let Ben run the show and go no huddle and tire that defense out.

As for the other side of the ball I am worried about our run defense. I have been a guy who has stuck up for Bortles in the past so I also feel he and Lewis could have a big day.

This is gonna be some good old fashion football, gonna be some hard hitting and a lot of pads popping.

I am also worried about the run defense albeit one player in particular; Sean Davis.

He has to make plays at some point. Time is up. Realistically, I was hoping for him to take that next step. Seems he is having a "Sophomore Slump" thus far.

The other ten players I am not too concerned about. Davis though is my biggest.

Which means we'll try and be super smart and try and outthink ourselves and come out with 10 straight passes.

The Jags secondary may be good, but when the quarterbacks they've faced are Salvage, Mariotta, a compromised Flacco, and Josh McCown, I would not be overly concerned with the Jags secondary just yet. Of course Roethlisberger could throw 3 picks, then you would have proven your point.

I am worried about them all but the one guy that scares me the most is Dupree. Watch him vs the run he gets there but he is more worried about the big hit than wrapping up for the stop. The good news is this is a pretty easy fix so hope with time he gets better and that will help vs the run.

The other area that scares me and has for awhile is up the middle. When we got grave digger I thought this was a step to help fix that but thru the first 4 weeks it hasn't looked good. We have so much youth that I hope it all jells together and as the season goes so does this defense.

True however has Ben played better than those you mentioned? He is no way close to Salvage and Flacco but he hasn't been himself either, you know what I mean? Also not only is the secondary good but they can get pressure on the qb and with Ben being as off as he has been this may not be good.

Not if they play like they did last night against the BUCs, the only thing that kept the BUCs from winning was 3 missed field goals.....

The Patriots are always at their best when they play the Steelers. It takes a Herculean effort to beat them. 2011 game for example... everything went right. Offense controlled the ball. Defense bent, but didn't break. 9 times out of 10 Patriots win just because Steelers don't match up well against them. It's a personnel thing and player-type thing... not talent. Steelers D-line doesn't get pressure, the secondary can't play man coverage and the linebackers get torched by Patriots RBs and TEs. And last but not least... the Steelers offense usually sh!ts the bed.

The Patriots will be ready to hunt bear on December 17th. The Patriots team we watched last night will be much improved by then. Write it in stone. I just want the Steelers to compete and not get blown out by the end of the 3rd quarter like they usually do vs. Pats. A close game that came down to a Brady drive near the end of the 4th for a field goal to win would be a breath of fresh air.

Thats past history, this year will be different, brady has already been sacked as many times in 5 games than he was 16 times last year and his oline couldnt handle a 4 man rush last night, brady wont make it through this season without being on IR let alone beat us in the playoffs, he wasnt sharp at all TNF, we will kick their ass Dec 17, guaranteed:hehehe:

Wow. That's a bold prediction. I hope you're right, but I don't think the Steelers will win that game. Our D can hang with just about any offense (hopefully Packers/Rodgers included) in the NFL except the Patriots. Until they prove it... I don't believe it.

Yeah, playing the Steelers is like their Super Bowl. Well...maybe their Super Bowl warmup.
    :roflmao:

NE passed twice as much as they ran, and only a small fraction of passes went more than ten yards through the air. That doesn’t bode well for us.

I'd also add that their schedule is no cake walk either. They have two games against the suddenly relevant Bills, the Superbowl rematch this month, they play the rest of the AFC west back to back to back at the end of November and they have the game in Pittsburgh in December. Some tough games there.

Edit: their schedule for November and December is : Dolphins,Bills, Dolphins, Steelers, Bills Jets

Hence the argument are the Steelers playing down to the opponent or is the opponent playing up to them?
