With all due respect. AB was wide open after he broke off his route once Ben looked away from him. At that moment he became wide open because the defender was watching Bens' reads. There was no way Ben was going to find him after that point unless he scrambled out of trouble ala 2006-2012 era Ben as he was under enormous pressure on that play.

I understand Browns passion for wanting the ball all the time but he has realize throwing fits on the sidelines is no place to address the concern.

Talk about it in the film room, unless they want to emulate the Bengals.

He missed AB when the play had already broken down. AB was not open until the play broke down with Ben rolling to his right which sucked the D into that side of the field. AB shook his man simply because of the play breaking down and the attention shifting. it would've been nice had Ben stopped, scanned the field and hit AB... The reality is, in order for all of that to happen he ultimately would've been smashed for another sack in the very least regardless if it was 2006 or last Sunday.

AB acted like a little ***** about it and if he was honest, would've said he watched the tape and understands how it went down. Instead he says I don't apologize (kind of publicly throwing his QB under the bus a bit when words and actions meet) for my actions I was like a kid at Christmas! My kids ever tossed some **** and slapped my hand away after being disappointed at Christmas, their would be some tense moments in the house rapidly following.

Ben's been average as has pretty much the whole team top down but they're 3-1 and Ben will elevate as does the team unless they got to keep addressing pity parties and stupid behavior week in week out because that will kill the locker room eventually.

Should've kept it in house, but when you act like an ass you're gonna draw every reporter to ask every teammate their opinion and someone is gonna address it. Instead of celebrating a decent sized win, sports media is addressing our lil me me all about me guy and the stupid **** he pulled.

Coach called him on it too and would have done so without Ben's enabling... Oddly enough both said that sort of **** can cause problems. Listen to the boss and listen to the man who fed your ass coming up because without Ben, AB wouldn't have turned into the receiver he has.

Show a little humility kid, rings and trophies last... Twitter is just a fad and all businesses go boom eventually.

Amen! It's not just AB, it's how a lot of kids are brought up these days. I'm an IT manager for a school district, and it's amazing how many teenagers act so entitled these days. I don't mean to sound like an old "get off my lawn" complainer, and I know when I was in high school, we were far from perfect and weren't as respectful as we should have been, but I see so many more kids now than ever that have no discipline and whine and complain and throw fits every time they don't get their way, because that's what they're used to at home.

I disagree with those saying it should be kept in house. It was a public display and in my opinion required a public response. The public was going to speculate and discuss this whether anyone responded or not. By giving a public statement, the team has shown that the behavior was recognized, addressed, and is over. Hard to speculate when the answer is in front of you (although I see some take this to mean there are locker room problems). I don't believe the locker room problem idea either. It shows a lot of trust to be able to address these things publicly. This was exactly the correct response in my book.

AB looking for camera time, these kids with their social media. I would give my left nut to see them without their phones for a week.

Ben was a good QB long before Antonio Brown was drafted and already had 2 rings with lesser talented WRs. AB owes MOST of his success to having franchise caliber QB throwing him the ball. Lesser QBs would not have provided AB with the HOF trajectory stats. With that said, AB is one of the best WRs I've ever seen... and I'm glad we have him on our side.

I agree with this 100%, this team has enough crap with the media from the Bear game and anthem stuff no need to give them any more help. The media has really put a bad taste in my mouth lately and I am not just talking football. We need to give them very little so they don't turn it their way making us look bad.

Here is my question, was AB's fit on the sideline cause he didn't get the ball or was it cause he was wide open and didn't get the ball and we didn't score? I haven't seen what AB said why he acted that way but if he flipped out cause he was open and we didn't score I get it...kinda. The guy is showing passion and I like that I hope he didn't flip out just cause he was open but if he did oh well move on to the bigger picture, playoffs and super bowl and we can't get through the Chiefs, Cheats and whoever else by being divided.

One other thing when AB first came into the league he was like this and was a little wild. It took a veteran like Ward to sit him down and he really did change. Am I disappointed in AB yeah but I wish Ben and MT would shut up and keep this in house. jmo

The bottom line is that there's no excuse for AB acting like a petulant child. It was a classless act and I'm sure Tomlin and co have called him out on it big time. Ben called him out on it in public by reminding him how to handle things with class. As he should have.

If AB doesn't like it the only one he has to blame is himself. He's got all the talent he could ever wish for but he needs to grow up.

If AB wants to be paid as a professional, then as Coach Tomlin said "be professional".

Ben should not have said anything. I really don't see this is a big deal at all. He threw a water cool. Oh No!

When I think of how these things can look on TV when we can't hear what's being said, I'm reminded of a situation with Dez Bryant a few years ago. On TV it looked like he was yelling at Tony Romo and the coaches about not being fed the ball when he was not really open, but when footage came out that had audio it turns out that he was pissed about how he was being covered (I think grabbing, chucking after 5 yards, etc), and was mad that the physical coverage was keeping him from being available, not that Romo wasn't throwing to him.

Anyway, if Ben and Tomlin had just stayed mum, the narrative that it was passion in the heat of the moment, and we've moved on could still stand. Now the narrative- from inside the organization- is more of an AB is a spoiled child narrative. Not helpful for team cohesion to have that out there, regardless of what the facts are.

I realize that there's not clear linkage between the first and second parts of my post other than the lesson that what we see on TV can sometimes (often?) be misinterpreted, and the organization has the opportunity to take some control of the narrative in a positive way. It seems that didn't happen here.

I'm wondering if the response was specifically calculated to shame AB a bit. He is a very public personality. He wants to be out there front and center in the spotlight. Maybe the team is sending a message - "hey AB, see what happens when the bad stuff gets out there? How are you feeling about running Facebook live from the locker room now? See the connection?" If so, I hope it works, because publicly airing dirty laundry usually doesn't bring people closer together. Especially proud people with monstrous egos.

Thats what I was getting at. AB is so image conscious, maybe thats how to reach him.

I also tend to think that there is more to this than Ben just missing an open receiver. His reaction was over the top for that. Seems like it was more a cumulation of something that had been building.

What that may be, I don't know but Im not as sure as I once was that there aren't any problems in the locker room.

Your onto something about the locker room I think. So let's go back in time, we get chopped up and spit out by the Cheats to end our season. I feel a very bad loss that left a lot of guys with a bad taste in their mouth. Then the whole Ben retirement talk and Bell contract talk/hold out can not help this team's chemistry. Now we have the media hanging on every word and changing it to look like there are problems, which may lead to problems imo!

As far as AB goes look at it from his side, Bell sits out and wants more money then he is making. Game one was about getting Bell going, Game two as well, game 3 more of the same and we end up losing and then last week AB is wide open in a game vs our most hated........I am not saying any of this is true just a different look.

Thing is, it would be nice if Ben and coach stayed private... Said what they said publicly behind closed doors and such. However, Ben checking AB is a couple seasons into the mess now and regardless if they kept it buttoned lip, the media ran with it. Hell, Ryan Clark is now bumping gums about AB not being the smiling guy we all see. Not new news, we know he's a me me guy... A ton of teams wr's are these days.

Bottom line, AB acted like a dumbass on live tv and needs to reel his **** in! Hard to keep things in the locker room when you draw the attention. Sooner or later someone is gonna address the million questions about the issue or somebody is gonna take to social media and start another unneeded **** storm. It's just where we re at socially here these days. Unfortunately these kids are seeming to trend towards personal status then team accomplishments... League wide.

    He apologized we shall see.

Smoke screen....Ben knows he's playing subpar right now. And AB showed him up and hurt his feelings so he wanted to save face. Play better Ben and this all will go away

He also threw his hands up in the air after the play, disrespecting his QB. Also if that water cooler made it onto the field that would be a 15 yard penalty on him.

Ryan Clark was on ESPN radio talking about AB, he didn't hold back basically calling AB a phony with his smiling all the time. He said AB is all about AB and getting his, we already knew that though. They asked Clark if he liked AB, he said he didn't dislike him but he didn't admit to liking him.

If AB doesn’t get his targets you will see the real AB come out lol. It’s been brought up before and everyone shuts down that notion. He’s a diva like the rest

I don't care that he threw the water cooler, typical diva. You live with it. What I didn't like is the way he slapped Haley away when he tried to talk to him. Now THAT was uncalled for period. Brown is a major talent and it will be forgotten. Tomlin and Ben basically calling him out will not change him...

I think he was swatting before he saw who it was. (Although Haley could’ve been talking to him beforehand). But after he saw it was Haley, I’d have expected him to be a bit more contrite.
