so? We can stop the best offense to 10 points and allow a bad offense to score 30. Parity exists lol. Besides they got field position with a muff and sack fumble, our defense was horrific in run D though. Gassed by the time overtime started. Jax gave up 20+ to jets, and i still think they are a top D.

2008 our all time D allowed 30+ to titans who were ranked 18th. 2000 ravens allowed 36 to jacksonville lol. Good D's are defined by taking over games when they need to, or getting stops when they need to. There will be gaffs in between.

That game had a mental let down to it, the team wasn't OK with hiding out in the tunnel during the anthem, distractions matter since this game is 75% mental, and the D only gave up 9 points after that game in balt they still have only given up 59 points in 4 games, and i'm expecting the chiefs to blow it if they make the playoffs this year, they havent won a play off game in 23 years and the Marty Schottenheimer curse is still in effect.......

Kc does look legit. If they have a weakness it's their pass protection. Our dline should be able to get some good push on them.

Exactly. If we can’t be “mentally tough” enough to beat a dogsh!t Bears team, we have some pretty serious problems. That one loss could literally cost us prominent seeding come playoff time. If our coaches didn’t make things 10x harder on themselves than necessary, being “mentally tough” wouldn’t be nearly as important. Tomlin and Haley could mess up a two car parade.

Stat wise after 4 games KC points for 113, points allowed 87, Pitt points for 90, points allowed 59, obviously the pat team they beat wasnt as impressive as we thought it was, the pats have allowed a 128 points in 4 games....

We've only played 4 games so far. Ben could snap out of it, our D could seriously gel and get even better and Bell has obviously shaken the rust off. It's not too hard to see a potential SB win this year.

Then again it could all go the other way too. We're only 4 games in...no one knows how we'll be, good or bad, until we're a bit deeper into the season.

KC struck gold drafting K. Hunt. He reminds me of B. Sanders that plays on a good team.

To borrow a Cowherism, I think it's all about perspective. To critique certain elements of the team's performance after a win is not necessarily a bad thing. If you want to be field the best team you can, you continuously look to improve. That said, it's a 16 game season. While we'd all like to see 16 dominant performances, the reality is few teams are able to do that through an entire season.

IMHO, going 3-1 over the first quarter of the season is fine. High-five the successes, take note of the opportunities, and stay healthy. It's more important to have all cylinders firing in December/January that September/October.

I agree fully with this. What's puzzling to me are the "we suck" posts/threads where people ignore the positives and roast the team over the coals as frauds at 3-1. We are legitimately 3-1. We're not perfect, but we have a talented roster and a lot of upward potential. It all has to gel, and certain players still need to improve their play (like our veteran QB) but that's the same story for a lot of teams.

I thought the Steelers would be 2-2 at this point. I'm very happy with 3-1.

by the end of the first half 3 different O-linemen had committed a penalty and one committed two. clean it up boys. those are drive stoppers and account for FG's instead of 7's.

Let's be frank, Hubbard had a really rough day Sunday. When I rewatched the game with more of a focus on individual performances, there was a series where we punted and he was the primary issue on all 3 downs leading to the punt (a penalty, a blown up run play and a pressure). If we have Gilbert back Sunday, it will be a big step up.

I think they should install a penalty system where whoever is flagged for a hold, false start, unnecessary roughness must spend the week working out with Deebo, rep for rep

To beat KC, Ben needs to seriously snap out of it. Finney needs to play more. McGee blocked so well and in sync with the plays, i do not get why he is not on the 53, he must have rock hands.

I’m curious whether the opponents’ jersey color plays a factor. (E.g. a lighter-colored jersey being pulled is easier for the referee to see.) How might anyone find that kind of data breakdown?

Years ago, the OL had to toss money in a fund for penalties. At the end of the season they used the money for a party.
