They now have a full 1 game lead with the tiebraker in hand on the Ravens, and a full 2 game lead on the Bengals. Plus, the Patriots lose and the Steelers have a full 1 game lead on them as well which is big. Take care of business against the Jags at home next week who lost today against the Jets who stink and get ready for that huge game in KC in 2 weeks which will be huge in terms of homefield and playoff seeding.

I suspect there will be a few more twists and turns in the season yet.

The results so far don't scream "predictable". But I'm always happy to see the Pats lose.

Way too early to be calling the division over, injuries change everything.

Agreed and natty is finding their groove on O... Should've beaten GB and destroyed the brownies today.

Honestly if this season continues to trend towards as wacky as it seems... We're gonna see some real weird **** and anything is possible.

The Division stinks. Stinks! I wrote a couple of weeks ago that the Ravens were an 8-8 team at best. Cincy looks like a 5-11 team and the much improved Cleve Browns (now 0-4) might get to 4-12. I've seen nothing since then to change my mind. The AFCN has the worst bottom 3 in football.

This is the year for the Steelers to pad their record feasting on soft division opposition.

If this division race isn't over, it's because the Steelers are not remotely close to the SB team that so many think they are.

It is nice to know should we need to win the last game of season it is against the Browns at home.

I won't say it's over but the Steelers are definitely in total control of it after this win today. The Ravens play in Oakland next week which they will lose and drop to 2-3. So a win against the Jags will put the Steelers at 4-1 two games up on the Ravens and still 2 games up at worst on the Bengals. So yea it's not completely over yet but I think a few more wins and by the middle toward the end of the month it definitely could be.

They need to worry more about securing the 1 or 2 seed in the AFC which is there for the taking this year. The pats are 2-2 and that game with the Chiefs in Kansas City in 2 weeks will be absolutely huge when it comes to tiebreakers for homefield come playoff time.

    1. Seriously, given what you've seen from Cincy, Cle or Balt. I defy anyone to concoct a scenario where the Steelers DON'T win the AFCN. One that doesn't involve catastrophic injuries to Ben, Bell, Brown, the entire OL

I was thinking this too, dobbler. Andy Dalton looked pretty sharp the last two weeks and Burfict is back now. Those games will be tougher than I originally thought.

I`m trying to think, when was the last time we had such weak competition for the division title? This year the others look even weaker as a group than last year.

Off hand, I cannot come up with another year in mind.

I'm not ready to count out Cinci yet. They have a lot of talent on that team, on both sides of the ball. If they get their act together, they can absolutely challenge us for the division. It is ours to lose at this point though. We need to keep rolling and Ben has to start playing better

Still makes me mad because they should have 2 games on Ravens and most importantly, the Cheatriots.

Heard on the radio yesterday that the AFC North has produced 2 playoff teams for like the past seven years or so
I would be SHOCKED if that happens this year. I have been shocked at the overall scores in the NFL the last 2 weeks.
Salary cap has caught up to teams.

Looking at the standings after 4 games, one wildcard will come from AFC west. If North is truly terrible than another wc should come from South

Hey, by the end of the season, the Browns could be tough.

Ok, I couldn't even type that with a straight face.

Yes, they should definitely pad their record given where the other three teams are. But that doesn't mean they won't be legitimate SB contenders come Dec/Jan. Look at how many years the Patriots feasted on their weak division.

Kansas City starting to be more scary than New England. Only down side for the chiefs is the Broncos are right there too.

Oakland losing Carr for a few weeks or maybe more, is going to hurt them.

Patriots better take the Bills for real. I don't think the Bills will play as scared against them.

We may be the only playoff team out of the AFC North this year.

To me AFC playoff teams will be

    Steelers, Chiefs, Broncos, Patriots, Texans,

    Last spot:
    Oakland, or Buffalo.

But of course we got a long way to go.

Looked at that last year. The last 12 years, out of the 24 wildcard teams in the AFC, North has supplied 8, South and West have 6 each, and the East 4. The NFC all four divisions had six wildcards.

Yeah its only 4 games in. A lot can happen with all the football left to be played.
