i hope ben gets his head out of his arse today.

 

Talk is cheap....we'll see.

 

I hope we use different sets then the same grouping they used last week. I hope this is the week Special Sauce gets a target on the seam route and he makes Weddle look old and foolish.

 

Ben needs to play a big role. How often do we run the ball well against the Ravens? More than likely Bell will average three yards a carry or less, so they need to pass to set up the run more than ever.

 

I loved the games when the announcers would say Ben has thrown to 5 or 6 different receivers by halftime, but Ben isn't spreading the love like he used to lately. He has said as much this week to the media so I hope he slings it around today.

 

Above all the whole offense needs to under that moving the chains and continuing drives is the most important thing. Don't take points off the board by committing penalties or missing the open guy at the sticks, instead of single covered guy downfield.

 

Just found this article. Says we draft Luke Falk to replace Ben if he retires.

Regardless what Ben decides to do we have to draft a QB for the future. It would be great if Ben spends one more year on the team helping the new guy get ready but either way we need a QB.

 

I think Ben has been playing safe. He's trying to take care of the ball and not throw picks.

Think about it, he's only thrown 2 INT's. One was Brown's fault, and a dumb rule. Blame it on what you will.

The only real pick was week 1, when he threw a deep one that got tipped and the saftey picked it off against the Browns.

Other than that, no interceptions. But, hard to hit home runs when you don't swing, but sometimes you draw walks, and still score runs.

 

He needs to play better.

 

I think he is conservative and we are playing the defense/field position game. Back when our D was atrocious Ben was slinging it. Either way our butts pucker in the red.

 

Ben's playing like Elway did in his last two years. Elway didn't exactly light it up, but managed to win a couple of Super Bowls by playing conservative ball-control. He let TD do most of the work. Hopefully Bell can do for Ben, what TD did for Elway in the late 90's.

 

I wish Haley would call plays to roll him out more. I think it would create more opportunities for broken plays which Ben used to thrive on. I think he would also be more likely to throw the ball out of bounds if there is nothing there rather than stand in the pocket and take a sack.

 

the game is only 3 hours long. rolling ben out is like a yugo pulling a trailer, by the time he gets rolled out the half will be over.

 

After watching that game yesterday, you are 100% correct sir!
