It all looks good on paper, now Joe needs to perform. The part I hate is that we are raiding ex-browns players..... outside of Joe Thomas.... I'm not sure there's anyone worth taking.

I am PUMPED and love the signing. I've always been a big fan as is, so that helps.

He gives us more depth and immediately adds to a struggling secondary. If he's even remotely as good as his 2014 campaign, we are in for a treat.

He's young and hungry. Injuries do scare me, though.

Like the McDonald trade, this signing is a good/great potential signing for the Steelers. Glad they are trying with bigger profile guys than with castoffs from training camps who barely make teams for their talent.
Again though it's the potential that he brings that I like. He could be a huge piece to the puzzle this year or his injuries could limit everything.

I guess these 2 signings (McDonald and Haden) show that we couldnt replace #83 or Ike Taylor through the draft(James & Golson).

And to be a serious playoff team we needed to fill these 2 holes.

Signing bonus: $5.75 million Base salaries (2017-19): $1.25 million, $9 million $10 million Roster bonus: $1 million (March 2018) Total: $27 million That's $7 million over one year, then basically two option years at a high clip. If the Steelers need to walk away next year, they can at a reasonable cap hit (signing bonus protection)

Hopefully he's fully healed from the groin injuries.

Not necessary due to the fact that the really good cornerbacks we have are Artie Burns and maybe William Gay. The others are just there and Haden being a 2 time pro bowler he will most likely get the start
