And he's still on the team. As a TE/fb. He was garbage back then and he's garbage now.

Success, yes, but we desire more like TTF said. How many did Peyton Manning (2) have, or Dan Marino (0), were they considered successful?

With the start Ben got off to, I really expected there to be a 3rd, or even 4th by now. However, seeing that in his time with the team, Ben got the Steelers to the SB multiple times and won 2 of those, I'm pretty happy overall considering the drought between Bradshaw and Ben.

He did it with great defenses. When he didn't have those, he didn't do it no more.

To put it in perspective Brett Favre played for 20 years and only had one SB win, you can nit pick Ben all you want but he took us to 3 superbowls and won two of them, he already has hall of fame credentials whether he wins another one or not....

My team hasn't even won one Super Bowl .. 0-2 so far. You guys are fortunate enough to have so many as it is. And you are 6/8 right? Wonder what that's like.

Its a success from my eyes from an outsider's perspective. If Tom Brady ever retired you'd probably have more too.

I'm not sure how long Ben will play? He's 35 I think, its still not extremely old for a QB , but maybe Brady is just some crazy outlier. Should at least be 3 more seasons of good production if he wants to keep playing anyway.

I hate being the downer but look at the qb's we faced lol. Kinda like Cowboys defense was ranked #5 overall, then they faced Green Bay and you saw what happened.

Great defenses stifle bad offenses and slow down great ones. We slow down bad offenses and get murdered by good ones, we couldn't stop Dallas with 40 seconds left, cmon.

I expect our D to improve this year but still not elite

He did, but go back and look Chris Kemoeatu got bull rushed, causing Ben to throw a duck. Not making any excuses for Ben, though, everyone could have played better.

Remember who this team played when the defense looked good over that 5 week period in which you speak of. The colts back-up QB, then Eli Manning who struggled all of last season, the the guy who averages less than 190 yards a game in Tyrod Taylor, then Andy Dalton who looked like a HOF player when the steelers where down 3 scores after the first half then the Bengals choked. After that we gave up 27 points and almost lost to a Ravens team that had a struggling offense but were able to score at will and almost win the game if not for our decent offense and the fact they scored so fast that left enough time, and then the mighty Browns who took us to OT with a 3rd String QB. Yeah, we sure looked like a top defense against scrubs but when decent players came out we looked like the same band of trash heap players we keep picking up hoping the secondary will get better.

Yet you ignore ben's pump fakes prior to his arm getting hit. When you're in your own end zone you have to get the ball out. Not lollygag around.
