Gameballs: Chick, Fort & entire ST unit.

That was probably one of the better ST performances in some time.

Offense wasn't too great as a whole.

We know Conner can run. Work on those hands.

Dobbs will not help us in 2017. I think we should send him to the PS and only keep 2 QBs.

Thought Hawkins had a great rebound game at LT.

The starting defense was atrocious. Our backups stabilized and played great for 3 quarters.

Seeing more from Fort than I am Dirty Red.

Still want to see more of a pass rush against a starting Oline. Falcons was a good test and we didn't get it done until their backups went in.

Starting secondary was baaaaad. Cockrell gave up the big plays but Golden and Davis were very bad. Gay not much better. Burns cost us 15 yards.

Good come from behind win.love watching these guys who will largely be unemployed in 2 weeks working their tail off.

Any idea what the steelers can do? What CB we could obtain?

Yeah not sure having two thumpers in there to start was a good plan. Vince Seems unsure in coverage and Red lacks the experience to know where to be.

Outside of someone being let go from another team towards the end of preseason... no one. And those types rarely work since you've lost the preparation time to get them ready (camp/preseason).

Agree on all points.....I would add:

Justin Hunter doesn't impressed me. I know he had a touchdown but nothing that makes me think he will supplant Coates

Chick might of took Moats spot.

Fort needs to be on the roster

Sensabaugh could take Cockrell spot by midseason

Hilton and Trey Williams made the team

Alualu is strong at the POA

McCullers days are numbered. Walton can play the nose.

While I finally caught up to the end of the game.

    That sucked.

    That's just dumb.

First, Tomlin always keeps 3... so it's a moot point.

But secondly, the idea of dumping a 4th round rookie QB when your franchise QB is retiring in a year or two... just not smart.

Third.... the extra roster spot is unlikely to help this year either.

The front office gets an "F" for not improving the weakest unit on the team: CB.

They totally failed there. I was hoping they knew something we didn't, but no, they should have signed a decent CB FA AND drafted on higher.

Why are they wasting time giving Trousant carries? We know what we got there - inferior skills. No news will be discovered.

Conner looks decent, but I have seen over a dozen backs up look better this preseason.

What a shame it will be if another season is wasted because they refused to address CB AGAIN.

Croissant can't be cut quick enough. Williams did more tonight than he has in 2 years.

No, what is dumb is burning a 4th round pick on a QB. Have you seen the statistics? After the first couple rounds the chance of drafting a good starting QB is less than 5%.

Are you talking about snapping the ball with 1 blocker vs 3 defenders? That was brilliant!

I do think we will keep Dobbs. I just don't see what value he is going to bring in 2017.

If we put him on the PS, I can't see anyone else picking him up. Let him develop there and then see where he's at in 2018.

If Ben misses a game and Landry gets hurt in game, you feel good about Dobbs having the ball in the hands?

I'd rather AB take the snaps.

I'm pretty sure Dobbs will be on the final 53, but if we lose Ben or LJ for an extended period I think we'll bring someone in to move ahead of Dobbs on the depth chart. I think he'll be given more than one preseason to show what he has before we risk losing him.

I agree that this is the likely outcome.

I just question if there's any risk of putting him on the PS.

I would rather keep a strong ST player.

    Can Dobbs play ST? :lolol:

Absolutely CORRECT!!! It is unbelievable to me that the FO FAILED to upgrade here after the drubbing Brady and the Pats put on our secondary in the AFCCG. Ben's window is closing fast and for Colbert and company to neglect this crucial piece of the puzzle is absolutely inexcusable!

It wasn't 25 points, but we all know Atlanta likes to get a lead and then give it up

Here is what I hate about preseason games. They had some sort of idea what they wanted to see Dobbs and the offense run in real game time conditions and a lot of it just didn't shine out there. Yes the offense is vanilla but still needed to see Dobbs work his progressions, work on some soft throws to the checkdown guys, have Conner prove he can make those catches and block out the footsteps, some of the WR's fighting for jobs need to prove they can run crisp routes and just overall communication.

C'mon, man! You could ask that if ANY team's third-string QB is thrust into the starting role.

I'm not asking my 3rd string to go out and win the game. We have a pretty good team around him. If we got into a situation where Dobbs was in the game I'm sure we would be pounding the rock 75% of the time. But is there trust for him to throw the ball on 3rd and 8?

Dobbs has 3 INTs in 2 games. He doesn't look comfortable in the pocket. I just don't trust him to come into a game situation, especially one that we are winning.

    247 Sports:
Jordan Dangerfield may have been the player of the game for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He intercepted Matt Simms earlier in the game, and his second interception with just over two minutes left in the game put quite a bit of pressure on the Atlanta Falcons as they attempt to earn a comeback victory.

Excellent game for the S.T. squad. It would be great if it turns out our special teams play is something special this year.

Is there a team whose 3rd string QB is worse than Dobbs or has less potential..... If there is even one then cutting Dobbs is Not an Option.
