If he was asking for only a penny he'd be "apart on money" as far as I'm concerned. So what if he's a "starter in this league". So was Johnny Manziel, Jay Cutler, Ryan Tannehill, Terelle Pryor, and a bunch of other guys who ultimately were bums.

Tomlin made comment long ago that didn't take a stretch of the imagination this will not happen. Why are we debating it?

Off-season tradition I guess. OP got in there before I could start a "would the Steelers relocate to Dublin?" thread or "should we trade Ben for Sebastian Janikowski" or something similar.

If he were a good quarterback he would have a job... His first few years he was good, until league got tape on him. Now he is a backup to low end starter like a younger more athletic josh mckown.

Looks like Baltimore is going to pull the trigger. And he thought Oakland was violent, wait till
he gets to the Charm city.

I have literally said to people that if the Steelers signed Kaepernick I would no longer support the team. I wasn't crazy about it when they signed Vick, but he paid his debt to society and at one time was an above average QB. Kaepernick has never been a good QB IMHO and as the mother of a Marine his disrespect for everything I hold dear is the one thing that would turn me away from the team I love. Some things are more important than football, even Steelers football.

Vick didn't owe a debt to society. In my eyes he owed a debt to the animals he hurt and killed and he can never repay that debt. Vick should die a slow, scary death like he was responsible for doing to the animals and the sooner the better. My thought process is an eye for an eye.
This is probably not a good forum to state this but I am so tired of all the posts saying he paid his price and should be forgiven. Bullsh1t. He hasn't come close to paying for what he did and he never will. He needs to remember "what goes around comes around" and Vick has a whole lot more of pain and suffering coming his way.
TTF if this is not acceptable let me know and I apologize. This is the only post on that POS Vick I will do. I agree with the OP that some things, not many, are even more important than Steeler football.

And still college fans wont forgive Vick:

BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Public opposition is growing against the planned induction of former football star Michael Vick into the Virginia Tech Sports Hall of Fame.

The Roanoke Times reported Tuesday that two online petitions at change.org had received more than 90,000 combined signatures against the September induction. The Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine has also announced its opposition.

Please never mention him here again. I actually like watching Steelers games, wouldn't watch and him kneeling on our sideline.

There is zero chance of him playing here but he doesn't do the kneel anymore.

While I agree with that sentiment, I'm pretty sure that tweet wasn't actually sent by James Harrison.

i thought the same thing until Ben keeps talking about retiring. I have to imagine he would be seriously considered next year if Ben does retire and he is still available.
