should be good and we could lose some talent but i hope we can keep them hidden somewhere for the future. what i am talking about is WR vs. DB's. both of these spots are going to have a lot of talent vying for a few spots and frankly going head to head.

we are already seeing some things going on, but without pads means very little to this point OR does it?

these are not all of them either just from this week about the WR group and the defensive back group. it's not even about all the players we have here at these positions. some other stories could emerge from these two groups going head to head in practice. it should make each better with the competition. these are also two positions that played a role in our not being the best we could be last year. what a difference a year makes. :smiley1::cool:

in this opening part of this thread i mention the final part of your link diamond. it will be important to keep the right players not only on the active 53 but being able to stash some others that may not be quite ready or are more of the type we need down the road to keep this change going.

the right players being brought in that have some man talent will lessen the need for players that are zone type guys. gay comes to mind for one but he still has value in the slot with his knowledge of slot play. it's a fine line and also demands a different type of player for that position. my worry is keep gay and possibly lose an up and comer that has potential down the line. allen for one. brandon dixon has some size and very good speed too. remembering cockrell is only signed for one year, so keeping guys to work with will be important even if this isn't they're year yet.

The point about scheme confusion is the most frustrating to me. On the upside, we have every reason to believe that this will be improved this coming year.

Speaking of tough training camps- I wish they were still allowed to have two a days.

I was referring to true two a day practices. Although, I'm not surprised you were thinking of trips to a spa.

So OTA's are done and vet mini camp as well as rookie mini camp and I have seen very little coverage on how Tyson, Sensy, and poor man's DWILL are fitting in. Any one hearing things?

Not with these rules negotiated in the last CBA contract. The NFL allows only 14 full-contact practices during the 18-week regular season. The players negotiated this through collective bargaining.

i did read hilton had been getting reps over golson and stafford is looking quite a good fit so far as a safety.

Playing without pads may show more about the offense and special teams, but it lets you know how "smart" the defense is if there are minimal blown coverage's and an uptick in pics

Camp Cupcake is a two edged sword. Come out slow at the beginning of the season and half the people on this board will blame it on camp being soft. Have injuries in camp and half the people on this board will say WTF were they doing playing tough in camp. It will be same half in both cases.
