What message is sent to the Jets fans, Mark Sanchez, and the actual Jets players when they trade for Tim Tebow?

The Jets are a joke and it is become more and more apparent with every boneheaded move they make. First they keep Santonio who has reached a point of no return with his relationship with Sanchez and his teammates. (On a side note, it is incredible that the Steelers were able to trade away our SB MVP receiver for nothing and did not lose any production the years following his departure. Wallace, Brown and Sanders have been incredible draft successes. This is under appreciated.)

Then they give Sanchez a five year extension, only to trade for TEBOW? It's a disaster both publicly and on the football field. Are the Jets supposed to be excited about the prospect of Tebow being the starting QB?

What was the purpose of this trade? It completely baffles me.

They don't want Tebow as a starter. No team does, that is why they only gave up a 4th round pick for a former 1st rounder

They will use him in the Wildcat and other formations like they used Brad Smith

Yea, I get that, but does the benefit of opening up a gimmicky offensive set really outweigh the potential disaster here?

What if Sanchez immediately struggles, or gets hurt for just a few games? This is going to be a New York media circus show for literally every single day of training camp, pre-season game, and the first question anyone asks in a press conference. It's going to be nuts.

I guess thats why our front office is so successful because they don't make dumb mistakes like the Jets. What were they thinking? Just plain dumb, dumb, dumb!!!

We owe that boy because what he did to us in that playoff game. I wanted revenge becuase we play them this season, but Tebow won't be their. I guess we will just have to ruff up Payton Manning again!!

Not to mention that how the heck is a personality like Tebow's going to work in a locker room that is so full of egos and questionable character? What's he going to do, hold a tent revival in New York?

    I think Tebow > Sanchez

Tebow will be the starter by mid-season.
