Just heard that former Steelers assistant coach Ron Erhardt has died at age 80.

Ron briefly coached the Patriots and coached the Giants offense to 2 Super Bowl wins. He also coached the Steelers offense for four years, 1992-1995, making the playoffs every year (in spite of Neil O'Donnell :-D ) and ending in the Super Bowl run of the 1995 season. I always liked his style and thought he did a good job. R.I.P. Coach.

Very good offensive coordinator in the early Cowher years. RIP Coach Erhardt.

I thought he and cowher had a beef and cowher said it was him or me.And didn't he try to make kordell into a pocket qb? Bad time to bring up but wanted to make sure we were talking about the same guy.Espn mentioned the other two teams that he was with and as an after thought mentioned the steelers. :hmmm:

I think you might be thinking about Tom Donahoe. I think the emergence of Chan Galey was what prompted Cowher to dump Erhardt.
