While I'd really like for rounds 1 and 2 to go according to this mock, I don't think I've seen any rankings or mocks in quite some time that would have either guy available to us at those points in the draft.

Barnett is probably the most accomplished pass rusher in the entire draft, and he'll be in high demand. If he actually makes it to us, great! I don't see that happening though. I expect him to be gone by pick #15. I'm starting to hear King in late 1st/early 2nd round buzz. Because corner is deep, you never know.

As for Dobbs in the 3rd, I haven't focused on him at all. However, I recently watched another prospect going up against Tennessee (can't remember offhand which one) and Dobbs couldn't catch a break at all. His receivers let him down all day, and Kamara gave up a bad lost fumble. It was ugly to watch. I don't know that I see him as a future NFL starter based on what little I've watched, but I didn't come away with the impression that he's terrible either.

I like it, but dont know 5th and 6th rd guys.

If they take a QB in the mid rounds, Dobbs is a guy I have been mentioning.

Dont think they would double dip at CB in back to back rds.

Would be a nice haul but agree with Elvis, don't think 1 & 2 will be available at those spots.

Not criticizing the player picked, but we are pretty deep at offensive tackle, so I think a RB or WR might be in play for that spot instead just based on team visits and need.

If one and two play out that way, then that is already a great draft if looking at it from face value.

Otherwise, someone like TJ Watt in round one and Josh Jones in round two or Obi Melifonwu in round one and Derek Rivers (hopefully) in round two would be more appropriate.

Dobbs in three would be intriguing. Would rather go ILB in round five (whoever that may be). Storm does seem appropriate based on depth as well (an injury to a tackle is never a good thing anyway as this depletes cohesion).

Round 7 is BPA from my point of view.

Dobbs in the 3rd heck no, Davis Webb is the better pro prospect.

Turtle I see you have revamped your draft wish list with not one but 2
Pitt players. Great choice, both over achievers Conners is going to make some team
real happy. Insert Ejuan Price in 7th and I would really be happy with your list.
I also like your whole list and would consider that a good haul.

What's your thoughts on Price? His production would seem to make him a 4th or 5th rounder? His frame, athleticism and production seem to remind me of James harrison. Not saying he will be, but do you see any way that Price could be a major sleeper?

to me i see too much give up on the play from price and rivers for my liking. i see quite the opposite from ryan anderson and javancy jones. they make so many plays just staying after it. i know steel elvis see's this in rivers too, but after watching price i see some of the same. very unlike james harrison in that respect.

He is ate up with it.lol he will be 15 in June. He has only known the good steelers years. I hope that's all he ever knows. He don't understand how bad it can get without a franchise qb

He honestly thanks Dobbs is the future cause he is a super great kid. I mean u won't find a better human being than Josh Dobbs. He just can't throw lol

I hope he continues to love the game, you talk about being spoiled
I grew up in the dynasty years. I hope he also participates on his HS team
and keeps on loving the game.As you said him living close to Knoxville,
well I would hope he would follow his local team. (I am a Pitt Homer) As for the real world Josh Dobbs is a wonderful human being and good football player. Just not accurate enough for my liking.

I believe he lead the ACC in sacks the last 2 years, he can get after it.
Major drawback is his height 6' I am going to say he will be a fifth rounder
only because of his measurables. A younger version of Silverback. Someone will give him a chance.

Now that you posted this I do remember, quick question how close was he last year? As for this year first I want to say ty you your nephew, not a lot of kids get this far into it so keep it up and go Steelers.

So now onto this draft, it is kinda funny I just looked at a mock I think ESPN and it had Barnett falling to us. I was like no way then I read this one and was like man what if, but what a nice pick that would be so I love it. I also like King in round 2, Norton in round 6(great value) and like Boulware in round 7. I have been reading a little on Boulware and think he may be a very good option late for us.

As for Douglas I am not a fan and with this class being so loaded in CB no reason to go back to back, imo. I don't know much on Jenkins but there are tons of good S out there and maybe would go there in the 3rd instead of Douglas. I am not sure about a QB this year and wouldn't want one this high I would maybe look TE here and if you want a QB draft one in the 5th instead of Price, jmo.

All in all very nicely done he hit it out of the park in the first 2 rounds and got great value in the last 2. I really like Norton and while we are deep here I would mind having another good talent like this and that late in the draft is a bargain. Gilbert while has done a great job is he really worth 7.3 the next 2 years and 6.6 mil after that? Our oline has a lot of money wrapped up into it and that isn't even including locking up AV, just something to think about and why I like Norton here.

Please tell him nice job and can't wait for next year.

    I will let him respond.

Thank you. I love the draft. I don't get total computer access so kevin let's me read the site when I can. I love reading some of the input that you guys provide. I get links to sites that I can read. I love the steelers. My uncle always coached me so I guess I just like what he does. I love the steelers and penguins. I didn't quite get the pirates gene from him cause I am a braves fan. We differ on colleges as well but that's OK, he is weird about those.
So since this is my first post I just want to thank all you guys for helping me probably close to 5 years now. I love reading after the games and seeing all the different opinions.
Don't want to offend anyone but would like to send a shout out to freak fontana. I don't see him on here much but I always thought his stuff was very informative. But thanks to everyone. GO STEELERS

Great post, keep up the passion. I remember clipping articles out of the newspaper about the draft when I was in middle school and it continued from there. It's been a fun hobby!

I think two corners in a row is a bit much. I would change the Rd 3 corner for a WR.
