Who would you guys rather have? Who is better as it stands even after a bad season? Revis or House? Revis or Gay? Revis or Cockrell? Do you keep those same answers if he rebounds this year?

No team is going to pay Revis much this season, not after his dismal play in 2016.

If he's seriously an 8 mill for the season guy, then I say as long as takes his 6 due from the Jets and will take 2 from us on a 1 year prove us wrong deal than ink it. Not at safety... Straight up corner... I'd do it.

Not how it works dobb....the Jets are on the hook for the 6 if he doesn't play.....they are relieved dollar for dollar on a new contract. If we give him the 6 they pay nothing....basically they pay the difference.

A lot of no comments here.

Watch the heads explode if he signs with New England.

That's exactly what I think is going to happen. The cheats are going to trade butler on draft day to the saints.

Since he has been cleared. He will be cheap. As much zone as we play, he should be fine. I would give him 1 year deal and pick his brain on Pat's offense. We would be getting a player on the rebound needing to prove himself. Maybe he can also help groom the young secondary guys.

He said it would be a dream come true to play for the Steelers.

Such a dream that he would have played for them, years ago, for below market value? It's only a 'dream" now because he needs a job.

Dreams tend to be convenient. Every time I'm about to nail the girl of my dreams, my alarm goes off and I have to get up for work. Talk about convenient timing...

I knew what you were referring to, but I just dont think revis is that type of guy. He's more of a Brett Favre type of guy. You remember when Favre refused to help Rodgers?

By several accounts, Joe Montana didn't go out of his way to help Steve Young. Goes with the territory I guess.

s the wrong type of Safety, we need guys who can recognize routes and make plays on the ball..Revis should be able to do that by all accounts ...

You don't know if Revis can do that either, the Steelers aren't going to put Revis as a starter at safety with him having not played the position.

We made it in 2005 and 2008 with an injury and Rex's Jets. Hopefully another team does us a favor next season.

By all accounts playing CB is much harder than playing Safety IMO..There have been plenty of good CB'S converted to Safety and played at a very high level at the position..IMO it is worth the risk to see if he can play that spot, he may be able to play the slot CB spot as well...At the very least he would be a skilled Vet who knows how to play the CB spot and that would be huge for our young guys....

I would not pay him a huge contract to see , but if on the cheap then why not ?

At this point, I would not expect anything to happen with Revis until after the draft. If some team who might be interested takes 2 DBs in the top rounds, there may just not be room for him.
