Now it has been a month since the Patriots won their 5th Lombardi. Many saying Brady and Belichick have solidified the Patriot Dynasty. I would agree the first three Lombardi's classified as a dynasty. The last two wins, I'm not so sure. They won the last two with completely different players. In my opinion, it could be the start of a new dynasty if they with again soon. I agree they are the best QB/Coach of all time. Seven superbowls/five wins is hard to argue.

I would still rank the Steelers of the 70's as the best superbowl dynasty of all time. Not just because I am a diehard Steeler fan, but because they did it with so much of the same team on both sides of the ball.

Now I wish the Steelers with Ben at QB would have beaten the Packers, it unfortunately caused them to fall short of dynasty classification. Now if the Steelers win the Superbowl in 2017/2018, I would not say dynasty since the only ones left over from the last win are Ben, Harrison, Gay, and Timmons. I believe that is everyone off the top of my head.

    Dynasty Rankings:
    1. Steelers of the 70's
    2. 49ers
    3. Cowboys of 90's/Patriots of 2000's (three wins each)
    4. Bills of 90's - This could definitely cause some serious argument, but to dominate the NFL and get to four consecutive Superbowls will be hard pressed to be matched again. Wins would have solidified their case. Four consecutive wins would have put them at number 1. Oh the "What if's..."
    5. I'm stopping at listing 4 as others have won 3, 4 or even 5 superbowls, but had too much change in personnel in my opinion to be included.

Now if you want to talk QB Coach combo here is my list:
    1. Brady/Belichick 5 wins in 7 tries, hard to deny this one.
    2. Bradshaw/Noll 4 wins in 6 years - again, my heart tells me they are number 1
    3. Montana/Walsh
    4. Starr/Lombardi - Only two wins, but had a few before the Superbowl era.
    5. Kelly/Levy
    6. Marino/Shula
    7. Staubach/Landry - Do wins place them at number 5, not sure.
    8. Aikman/Johnson - I know only two wins, but again the what could have been argument.
    9. Tarkenton/Grant
    10. Too many close ones here.
I'm sure I have quite a few that will cause arguments here, but I just wanted to throw a few out there.

Packers of the 60s is No. 1 for me if we are looking at this from a championship perspective.

For that level of time... seven years is most impressive.

If we are discussing Super Bowls... Pittsburgh otherwise. That decade had some of the greatest ever teams and yet Pittsburgh still came out as the big winner.

I find that comparing franchises across eras to be less useful than most of these kind of comparisons (and most aren't worth much). If you break thing down into three different eras: pre-superbowl, superbowl pre salary cap, and superbowl post-salary cap I think comparisons become less meaningless. Pre superbowl I think Green Bay would likely be the most dominant (although this is really before my time and I would cheerfully listen to a counter argument). Pre salary cap I would be between Steelers and Cowboys but I think the Steelers would be most neutral observer's pick. Post salary cap it is NE hands down. No one comes close and likely no one ever will.
