Is this just due diligence or is there genuine interest in Cousins?

    Thoughts?

I though you mean's "Cousin's" meaning Tomlin's cousin. Who are we talking about?

Oh, Kirk Cousins I'm guessing. I'd be highly upset if we took any QB in round 2, but if we took one that's 29 years old I might have a heart attack.

Was it just Michigan States pro day? Because I'd say it's more likely he's there to see Jerel Worthy.

The Steelers are building their draft board. I don't think they are after any single player at this point. Mayock said there was maybe 6 draftable players @ Mich St. pro day. They also have to be prepared on who doesn't get drafted. The Steelers will have asst coaches and co-ordinators paired with scouts at many many pro-days. For Tomlin and Colbert both at Mich St.s pro-day puts a little more attention to these guys.

As mentioned, Cousins the QB ran his own workout and if he drops to the 3rd or 4th rd I think the Steelers will jump on him. We need a young QB to groom behind Ben.I doubt we go after their DT but if he's there in the 2nd,okay. they also have a FS the Steelers are ranking on their board. A smaller scat back who did struggle with the catch so he may have dropped himself on the steelers board.

Please forgive me for quoting myself but I've just read where the Steelers are very high on safety Trent R. and he's expected to go between rds 5 & 6. Look for him to be brought in for an interview.

robinson is the 3rd rated FS in the draft. he's ranked to go late 3rd early 4th. they also have a TE, WR, OG,RB and QB that are pretty good and all worth a hard look.

I actually had Robinson in my "dream mock" in the 6th. From everything I read it looked like he'd be a steal there. Then I checked a few more sites that had him in rounds 3 and 4 and I took him off.

I would be VERY HAPPY IF THE STEELERS WOULD GET COUSINS in a later round.
Nothing higher than 4th though because he is going to be groomed. He can make ALL
    the throws.

Where did you get this from? He is not listed on Mayock's top 5 safeties and listed as the 7th best safety with scott wright. They rank safeties and you broke it down to a FS. Any link would be great, I don't know and haven't looked to see where Kiper has him.

You forgot DT, Mayocks 4th best. Probably early 2nd rd.

I think Jerel Worthy d-lineman for Mich St is a good player Cousins would be worth a late round pick.
