Probably DHB, or whoever lined up at no. 2 the last 10 games of 2016. Coates? Not ideal but it's not as though the Steelers don't know how to play without him. That's one of the positions that they scout and draft well.

meh no big loss. AB and Bryant opened things up for Wheat. Rogers can be just as good if not better.

What? You actually thought Wheaton would be re-signed?

Bryant will be reinstated, problem solved.

Then there is stilll Coates, his hand should be healed, Rogers, Ayers, DHB and most think they will draft a WR.

Oh, and Bell puts up better receiving numbers than Wheaton.

I think we'd still be looking for a Number 2 even with Wheaton on the roster. He's not awful, but he's a long way from a solid NFL #2.

Bryant isn't reinstated, because the process hasn't started yet. You don't see the Patriots always worrying about who is the #1 or #2 WR, it will work itself out next season.

I figured he would get an offer from the team because of the injury though interest from others would be low, never figured he would be a day one signing

was sure someone would sign him
at least a few people were going to look at that big game he had in Seattle and over rate him

Wheaton can't even stay healthy don't know why some people are worred about the chandelier. Rogers will be better it was meant to be.

I could see him doing well for the first season and then fading into mid-level obscurity.

It can often seem the way with the guys we let go.

there will be a lot of work to do in chicago with a new qb and so on. he could do well. hopefully well enough to get us an extra pick next year. that would be the only saving grace for picking him for us as it stands.

I feel good about him leaving really. He was nothing special for sure. Our other WR`s will have a chance to move up and IMO, one of them will turn out to be far batter.

He won't be missed. I think a change in location could actually help him get better, but I wouldn't hold my breath in Chicago.

    I will miss him.

A healthy Wheaton is better than a healthy Eli Rodgera... And yes I like Eli, not dogging him at all.
