Butler is available for whoever wants him. It would cost the Steelers a first round pick and his salary would be around 3 million plus he's considered on of the best at his position in the league! Thoughts.....

patriots are not letting him go and IMO hes overrated. They help him out with double teams a lot. Wouldn't be that great in zone.

I agree I think he's overrated to. Their defensive scheme allows him to look better than he is. Although we do need a good CB to secure our secondary. As you said the Pats aren't parting with him.

Heck no. His claim to fame is the SB play, doesn't make him a great corner worth a 1st rounder.

I wouldn't give up a first round pick for Butler, he would probably get exposed playing in a different scheme from the Patriots. They give him plenty of help when he has to cover AB.

Micah Hyde from the Packers is not supposed to be back with the Packers. Loved him in the draft a couple years ago but I think his play has not been that great recently. Don't think he would interest the Steelers though.

I think Butler would be too much to give up. FA money for OLB first and foremost.

He's a restricted free agent with a 1st round tender, the pats intend to keep him, and no team is going to give up a 1 pick to get him, IMO....

He is a solid CB , but I think a 1st. round pick is to much esp in this draft ..I actually think a 2nd. rd. pick in this draft would be to much ...I think this draft is so stacked the Steelers should trade future picks to get more in this draft not give them up ...

Your the guy who thinks we desperately need to upgrade our CBs, yet you wouldn't give up the 30th pick for a top 10 corner in his prime??

I don't see him as a top 10 ..His Coach knows how to scheme him to get him the help he needs and put him into position to make plays..If I thought he was a top 10 then I would give up a 1st. and a 2nd. for him...

It never ceases to amaze me how easily you just make up generic nonsense to mask how little you understand.

How is that generic? Bill is a master most know this ..He out smarts most Coaches most know that as well ..Being a product of scheme is a well known concept of Football as well ..The Question is what would Butler be without the scheme ? I say not a top 10 CB and not worth a 1st. rd. pick ....
