This may go in a different section. Mods feel free to move if necessary. My cousin was a huge Chargers fan. Followed them through thick and thin. They recently moved to L.A. He's no longer a fan. He feels his heart was ripped out.

Would you remain a Steelers fan if they left Pittsburgh? Obviously it's unlikely to ever happen. I was just curious.

We are all sad they lost. I suppose it's better to be sad about a team losing a game than leaving.

That's a question more for residents of Pittsburgh.

I don't live there so yes, id still root for them, it would just be weird calling them Mexico Steelers. That's just not right :lolol:

It would be hard being a Steelers fan without Pittsburgh in front of it. Thankfully this isn't even a slight consideration or possibility

The Steelers would always have a place in my heart, but it wouldn't be the same if they were no longer the Pittsburgh Steelers. My team is the Pittsburgh Steelers. I definitely wouldn't be a fan anymore if they moved to a different city and weren't called the Steelers anymore.

It's a horrible thought to have and not something I see happening.

What if they moved to Pittsburg, KS? We'd still be the Pittsburg Steelers (minus an h).

    L.A. Steelers?
I figure eventually the entire NFL will end up in L.A. at one time or another.

If they moved to London, Mexico, or Toronto I am defiantly looking for a new team

It might be funny if in London they had a logo to troll the Pats like the head of a 1700's British soldier

My buddy has been a Chargers fan for as long as I've been a Steelers fan and he has stopped being a fan of them because of the move. I wouldn't quit loving the Steelers for that though. Although they belong to Pittsburgh as much as my Cubbies belong to the north side of Chicago and I can't imagine them elsewhere.

Hate that there won't be a SD Chargers anymore. The Fouts era helped shape my love of football. NFL Films of Steelers, SD, Cowboys, Raiders and that music, totally sucked me in.

Does your friend live in SD?

Nope. We've both lived right here in good old Maynardville for 35 years. Went to the same elementary school for 8 years and the same high school for 4 and both work at UPS.

Don't really get that then. Upset, angry, hurt, sure, get all that but it's the same players, and even the Chargers name remains the same.

When Art Model snuck out of Cleveland in the middle of the night, they didn't even keep the name (as part of a deal that was made to leave).

Yeah he just identified with them as "there" I guess. He hates Spanos the way cowgirl fans hate Jerry Jones or something. I mean intensely hates him. The whole family really.

    Depends.
Do the Rooneys stay at the top? Then yes.
Does the team slip away in moving trucks the middle of the night? Then no.

so you're saying ... the Steelers got the H out of there?! :hehehe:

Modell was pretty forward about leaving. Robert Irsay on the other hand completely blindsided Colts fans.
