No Ayers tonight. That kind of surprises me. The only explanation would be Coates is finally good with all the time off he has gotten. Ben did say earlier in the week that Sammie was coming along. That would be a huge bonus and surprise.

For the Pats huge surprise that Floyd is inactive. Hogan was hobbled and he is their best deep threat so it is strange.

    I concur.

Green cannot continue his career should his sinuses continue from his concussions.

I had visions of Sammie being a deep threat again. I think they need that to help free up Brown/Bell.

Hope so, liked what Ayers brought. If Sammie is good to go though, that's huge.

Yep, one deep ball to Sammie early could swing this whole game and open up the whole field for Bell and AB. Here we go, Steelers!

Yeah it sucks but at least James is showing he can be a starter in this league. He is only like 21 maybe recently 22.

Coates needs to go up and get balls and not let guys ahead of him for the easy pick.
    He needs to be aggressive

Coates has been active, not sure why that would impact Ayer's status......

I'm guessing that Chickillo getting healthy is the reason. Kick coverage probably trumped the need for another WR.

We really needed Toussaint over Ayers really? Unless he was really stricken by the flu I Don't get it. I really thought Ayers and Rogers cold give them problems underneath.....maybe they plan on using Bell a whole lot in the passing game...I hope one of these is the reason,Toussaint brings nothing to the table

I agree, I probably would have given a hat to Chickillo at the expense of Tooussaint instead of Ayers.
