    DNP:
James Harrison (shoulder, tri) did not practice. Ladarius Green was listed as out with an illness/concussion, Le'Veon Bell was excused (not injury related).

    Limited:
    V. Williams (shoulder)

A lot of guys who missed practice with the stomach bug this week are back to full participation, so that's good news.

    Full:
Boswell, Chickillo, Davis, Finney, Heyward-Bey, Mathews, Mettenberger, and Toussaint

At this point, I will not be surprised if Green retires after the season.

How much more can one take in terms of hits? As if his career in then San Diego was not violent enough. Taking the hit he did against Ilkoa did not help.

On the positive site, having Ricardo Matthews back and Chickillo helps out in depth and special teams (more specifically Chick).

Still holding on to hope they are hiding Green to catch Belicheat off guard. If I'm the Steelers, you suck it up and help us win these 2 games and you can retire and we won't come after signing bonus or we are coming after it all. No way they are going to deal with this bs next year as well.

Seems as if Green takes every opportunity to be held back. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt with his concussion issues, but would not let the stomach bug be the cause.

Drink a bottle of Pepto and get on the field!

Well he's done then. We held him out 8 games and played a few and the hit wasn't that hard imo. Yeah, he hit his head but it could have been a lot worse. I've been one of his biggest supporters but if he really can't come back by now, he needs to retire and give the Steelers a big cut of their money back.

As asinine as this is going to sound, it really should not be a foregone conclusion that a early round pick at tight end is in play here; possibly even round one should all options be gone and BPA kicks in.

Again, this might not happen but all things considered, should the prospects who fill needs not be there, BPA has to be applied here.

If it was anything other than concussion related, I would be telling Green to rub some dirt on it, take the shot and get back on the field. Hopefully he retires at the end of the season and is assured some quality of life remaining. I'm from Iowa originally, linked an article below about an Iowa high school kid that took his own life at the age of 24 due to CTE. He kept a diary of some of the things he was experiencing up until the end. Hell on earth doesn't begin to describe it. It's a powerful read if you have a few minutes:

Wondering if he did not have a 1.1875m x 4, would we have seen him on the field more?

There was an early mock draft on NFL.COM today that had the Steelers drafting the TE from Alabama in the first round so if that adds any insight to what people are thinking about Green's health and return

Indeed. I did catch that earlier today. It is going to be interesting come draft day on how the team looks and what they have done via free agency.

Evan Engram from Ole Miss is my pick for the second round. Is he on the smaller side - yes. Can he block - maybe. But if the Steelers grabbed L. Green they are looking for a receiving threat from the TE position. Extra OT (Hubbard), Nix, and J James can contribute on the blocking end as they have been. This may lead me to believe they are open to getting someone who is not a do-it-all TE.

If that is the case, Bucky Hodges does not sound bad then either if he lasts that long.

I think with Green it was more of the flu than the concussion.

Thank you for sharing Zac's story with us. The cavalier attitude exhibited by some people in regards to concussions is upsetting. They are most definitely no joke.
