Was listening to Moving the Chains on the way home from work and Pat Kirwan had Simms on. Simms mentioned that he noticed a "secret" to Bell's running style while watching some tape on him. I am very curious as to what it is, he said he didn't want to give it away but will point it out during the broadcast. He did hint that it had to do with the way the Steelers oline was blocking.

Also PK mentioned how when Bell comes to a complete stop he noticed the safeties coming up to the LOS, he said boy wouldn't that be a perfect spot for a Flea Flicker.........He want on to talk about how the Steelers use to always be good for a trick play or two.

Simms also talked about if the Cheats take away Brown who is the #2 option, is Hamilton or Rogers ready to step up? I say if they take AB out then Bell will be the #2, jmo. All in all it was a good listen, wondering if anyone else heard this and what their thoughts were.....

Didn't hear it but Simms is now as bad as AB with letting secrets out of the bag - and you know if a pointy head like Simms can figure it out - a MENSA like Bellicheat certainly can. Dang!

What's funny about the flea flicker comment is me and two buddies were talking about it during the Steelers game last Sunday. We noticed the same thing. Bell spends so much time behind the LOS that the defence is 100% committed to the run before he even gets anywhere near the OL. If he tossed it back to Ben, I'm sure AB could be wide open. AB would have to sell it too obviously. It could work

Seriously doubt if Simms has the secret to anything. Maybe Toll-house chocolate chip cookies.

Simms is such a tool. There's nothing "secret" about our run game. Tape on our blocking style and how Bell sets up the LBs has been accumulating for quite some time. It can be slowed down, but only if the defense risks giving up 20+ yard plays to avoid giving up 7 yard plays.

He is right about the flea flicker set up though. That could be a good 1st down play when up a score or two.

I just hope that Phil Simms and Jim Nance aren't announcing the Steelers game but I'm sure they will be.

His secret is probably his love affair with Belicheat.

It's there for sure and I agree shouldn't be used unless they're cruising. Too many reasons to end up bad otherwise

Amazingly enough I can't remember one trick play at all this season. Intersting.

I was literally just thinking the other day that it would be great to see Le'Veon pass it in the red zone because I figured nobody in the world would be expecting it.

I was thinking they tried one during the first Kansas City game because Haley likes to prove how bad an idea it was firing him and he gets cute when they play the Chiefs. I think there have also been a few WR passes from Rogers to AB if I remember correctly.

DHB scored on a reverse against the Dolphins. Not sure if that's a "trick play" No passes or anything. I wonder if Bell can throw the ball. If he did his patience thing on the left side and Ben snuck out to the right. Bell could throw it back to a open receiver or Ben for a deep bomb.

Now that I think about it, last time we did a trick play might have been Headset Gate against the Cheatriots. Remember it like yesterday, we were driving it down their throat on the 1st drive and did a random trick play that they covered perfectly and killed the whole drive. Like how they perfectly covered a pass play at the 1 in the Super Bowl. Then you find out our headsets weren't working and your like oh wow, what a coincidence.

They must be cause he also mentioned about Ben's pump fakes and how good they are and said he was gonna ask him about it Saturday night. That tells me him and Nance are doing it. I am not sure there is announcers that are on in prime time that I would want to listen to...........

As far as Simms letting anything out of the bag he didn't say what it was so he didn't let anything out of the bag on the air, however I am sure in his daily love fest with belicheat he told him. I am real curious as to what it is and what he is talking about cause like some here have said if he can figure it out coaches must have figured it out and that hasn't happened yet.

Not sure if anyone has Sirius radio but I am sure you can pull up the interview online or thru a podcast. I will try to find it online and post the link but I am not very familiar with the whole podcast thing........I know I know I need to come out of the stone age!!!
